“A better place to stay .... we don't think so”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

Is there a more beautiful place to spend 7 days, probably not.
10, yes only 10 self contained bungalows spread throughout beautiful tropical gardens, a coconut throw from the beach. We hardly noticed the other guests.
The out door louge extention, complete with hamok, was were we did most of our chillaxing.
Each day the rooms were cleaned to within an inch of their lives. Linen is changed every second day. A big plus.
The tallest traditional nakmal on the Island houses the restaurant, bar and a huge lounge area.
We were lucky enough to enjoy all our meals right on the waterfront in what i called "the little nakmal"
Continental breakfast was included in the tariff and the eggs and bacon are the best for just a little extra.
We ate inhouse every night except one, the local beef and poulet fish are hard to go past. Beverages are very reasonably priced as well and thank you Benjamen for my "straight off the palm" coconut drinks.
One regret was not having a massage every day - 50 dollars well spent.
To be able to snorkell straight off the beach was amazing - great fish life! We loved the kayaks too.
Paradise Cove exceded our expectations in every way.
Thank you Belinda, Andrew and your wonderful, wonderful staff for a trully unforgettable holiday.
We can't wait to return.

Paradise Cove is certainly aptly named.

What a beautiful, relaxing environment. The Management and Staff are so friendly and they go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful time while you are at Paradise Cove.

Snorkelling is so easy – just slip off the end of the jetty, slowly move your feet up and down and enjoy the beautiful coral and tropical fish.

All in all, Paradise Cove is a top spot to stay and unwind from the stress of daily life.

Room Tip: All the units are great - close to the water and restaurant

Stayed here for 5 nights. Managers and staff went out of there way to assist you whenever they could.

The snorkeling was ok and is starting to recover from the cyclone.

Rooms were very nice. Plenty of room and very clean. Separate lounge and kitchen.

Restaurant food was very good. Tried most things on the menu and was rarely disappointed.

It was slightly difficult being 15 mins from town as we ended up eating at the restaurant most nights due to a lack of nearby options. But transfers were always available upon request.

The local kava was also very good and worth a visit. Endure the taste as once it kicks in you feel pretty good.

After visiting Vanuatu a number of times and staying in the Mele Bay area, we decided it was time for a change and, based on my sisters recommendation, booked a week in early August at Paradise Cove. We knew it would be a little "different" to our usual accommodation in Vanuatu. A delayed flight meant a lateish arrival into Vila - I had emailed the resort to let them know. What a warm welcome we received from Andrew and Belinda and all staff when we finally did arrive - restaurant kept open for us and a cold Tusker at the bar! This place is Heaven and everything that was promised from the start. Managers that obviously adore their job, the place and the people - both guests and staff ! Gardens beautiful, bungalows incredibly comfortable ( especially the large bed - tickled our sense of humour to find it made back the front next morning ) and the food - the best we have ever had in Vanuatu - absolutely first class, especially the steaks. Huge compliments to chef! We felt totally spoilt and relaxed the whole time we were there. Beautiful beach area and great snorkeling ( even though it was overcast most days ). We explored by walking to Honeymoon beach and visiting Jo Jo' s boutique, but we're most happy when we were relaxing at "home". Andrew describes the place as boutique and that it is, but to an incredibly high standard. We were planning to return to stay at another resort at Xmas but fell in love and am happy to say we WILL be back on 30 December with friends and it cannot come soon enough for us !

I am so pleased we chose to stay at this small resort rather than one of the big resorts.
Every thing was perfect here, atmosphere decore location amenities management and the friendliest and charming staff you will find who couldn't do enough for us and did so many thoughtful things to make our stay memorable. I give it 10/10

Room Tip: All the apartments/huts were amazing

From the moment you are welcomed by Belinda and Andrew and shown to your little cottage you know you are in a very special place. Our cottage was beautiful, furnished with comfortable furniture, good for reading and had a lovely outdoor area. Sitting outside or lying in the hammock looking out on beautiful tropical vegetation, listening to the sounds of the birds singing and the geckos "clicking" (they keep the mozzies away) was just so relaxing. The gardens are stunning and along with the cottages and other visitor areas contain lots of island sculptures and art and craft work. There is even a great vege garden which provides veges and salad greens to the chef. You could easily self cater in the cottage but the chef provides fabulous meals (delicious seafood and the best organic beef we have tasted) so it's well worth dining at the restaurant during your stay.

There is a most spectacular traditional nakamal (meeting place) with soaring timber ceiling and thatched roof. This is where is all happens. There are comfy sofas and armchairs for relaxing and a great assortment of boardgames and chess (we got into backgammon which we hadn't played for years). You could dine there, organise tours etc with the very helpful staff, or just have a few cocktails at happy hour. There was also another stunning little dining area right by the water which was our favourite because you were literally inches away from crystal clear water.
The resort has its own sheltered beach and you can snorkel straight out from the jetty and see a great variety of tropical fish. You can also take a 20 min walk and find yourself at Honeymoon Beach owned by the local village and the snorkelling there was amazing too.

Our experience at Paradise Cove was memorable for its absolute beauty, the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff and the snorkelling right at our doorstep. We'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vanuatu. Thank you Belinda, Andrew and staff.

I think you are always a little anxious when you put a lot of time and money into organising a holiday hoping that you got it right; where you stay is one of the greatest decisions you make... how lucky we were to have booked at Paradise Cove Resort! Paradise Cove Resort was beyond our expectations in so many ways, the staff and management at the resort were very welcoming and you felt instantly relaxed upon arrival, (even after a big day to get to Vanuatu with a 6 and 4 year old). The setting at the resort is beautiful, shady, tropical, secluded but not an epic to get to. We loved the trip to town, (bumps and all) as you go through Pango village on the way to Port Vila you usually see the local kids playing at school. Snorkelling off the jetty, relaxing in the hammock or sitting in an amazing outdoor 'meeting place' playing chess all amounted to a fantastic week away. Benjamin helped with all our day trips/tours and they were spot on with what we were looking for. We picked Paradise Cove as it was small, but at the same time had everything that we needed, great food,(including ice blocks from Andrew one of the managers when our youngest had a tummy bug!!). We expected to check out some of the restaurants in town but ate every night at the resort, it was just too yummy and easy. This place is perfect for a small family like ours, and when we go back (no more than two years away!!!) we are returning to Paradise Cove Resort. Thanks everyone there, see you again! xoxo
