“Lovely”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

We dined here in July 2013 after eating hotel food for far too many consectutive nights! Very interesting menu . Weren't game enough to try the Flying Fox but had steak with snails . Very tasty, perfectly cooked, even the kids loved the snails! The duck dish was plentiful, rich and great value for money as we're the prawns, potato 'bake'!, beans and chicken breast. The deserts were large and rich. Chocolate mouse was a hit with the kids, we ate crem brûlée (high in vanilla, soft and decadent) and the floating meringue (lots of sauce but not enough caramel taste for us). Overall, a lovely experience in a somewhat grotty Port Villa which needs dining facilities like this to keep tourists like us happy! Not sure how this restaurant would rate against similar ones in other cities (it feels a bit try-hard at times with its stuffy trained waiting staff who , most of the time, stand at attention like pillars) but its a definite culinary stand out in this town and we appreciated the risk taking menu. Would visit again. **note, this isn't a family restaurant. There is no kids menu. We are blessed with children who can sit quietly. Don't take yours if they don't.

“Best in show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

In our experience in Port Vila this restaurant deserves its number one rating. The service was excellent, the food was very good and the restaurant design is lovely with space between tables. I had a steak which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender.

“Very good but not the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

Food is of high standard but expensive and small serves. This is as close to silver service as you will find in Port Villa. Only 1 white and 1 red wine available by the glass and the red was undrinkable.

“Expensive, but great food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

This restaurant felt a little out of place, I have to say it did seem a little elitist.

The staff were great but it wasnt as relaxed as say 'Chilld' in Port Vila. Great spot if you are going staying at Warwick or Erakor.

“A Taste of France”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

This restaurant had a nice atomsphere and the service was good and friendly. We enjoyed most of our food and the portions were good. The lemon tart dessert and creme brulee were average. Overall the food wasn't any better really than some other places we ate but the menu was more interesting. We spent around $200NZ for four of us having two courses and one drink each.
