We dined here in July 2013 after eating hotel food for far too many consectutive nights! Very interesting menu . Weren't game enough to try the Flying Fox but had steak with snails . Very tasty, perfectly cooked, even the kids loved the snails! The duck dish was plentiful, rich and great value for money as we're the prawns, potato 'bake'!, beans and chicken breast. The deserts were large and rich. Chocolate mouse was a hit with the kids, we ate crem brûlée (high in vanilla, soft and decadent) and the floating meringue (lots of sauce but not enough caramel taste for us). Overall, a lovely experience in a somewhat grotty Port Villa which needs dining facilities like this to keep tourists like us happy! Not sure how this restaurant would rate against similar ones in other cities (it feels a bit try-hard at times with its stuffy trained waiting staff who , most of the time, stand at attention like pillars) but its a definite culinary stand out in this town and we appreciated the risk taking menu. Would visit again. **note, this isn't a family restaurant. There is no kids menu. We are blessed with children who can sit quietly. Don't take yours if they don't.
