“Not too bad”

Reviewed January 2, 2014

We went on the sunset cruise in December 2013 and it was an ok way to spend a couple of hours. The boat is lovely, although on this occasion it was very full so there wasn't much room to move around. The cruise included 3 drinks each (sparkling, red wine, white wine, beer or organge juice) and a selection of hot and cold canapes. The food was not what I would call a selection of hot and cold canapes by any means... there was a platter of sandwiches (tuna, egg or a stick of asparagus wrapped in bread), a platter with carrot sticks, celery sticks, jatz and dips and then a platter with meatballs - not really what I was expecting and not really very good. The crew were all very friendly and good at their jobs and the sunset was lovely. Overall an OK experience but i'd try another company if I was to go on another sunset cruise.

They also do a half day snorkelling cruise, which was heaps better and which I will write a separate review for.

This trip started with a commandant collecting tickets and giving the safety talk. How about a welcoming smile ! Is that too much to ask? The coral, if you can call it that, was the ugliest and most plain I saw. Not worth the bother for the snorkelling! Nice boat ride ther and back but that is about the best if it. Not worth bothering with sadly

We left the Sunset Cruise until our last night in Vanuatu and what a wonderful end to our holiday.
We were a group of 6 with only 2 other couples on the cruise which totally made the night. One of the other couples got engaged, we were passed by a cruise ship leaving the port, plenty of drinks, lovely food and a very entertaining crew.
Would definitely recommend this as a must during a visit to Port Vila.

We won a trip on the sunset cruise in 2012, and left it until our last day to take it, as a way to chill out before we went home. We loved it so much, we agreed when we went back in 2013, we should pay to do the same again. We did, and it was just as wonderful the second time around.

The cruise itself is a gentle run around Vila and Mele Bays, with some wine/beer and light nibbles to accompany the trip. A wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
