“Drop in for a good cuppa”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

The coffee is very nice and if you are in the vicinity then take the time to drop in. However it is not so awesome that I would recommend making a special trIp. Also be very clear on the regulations for purchasing and taking on an international flight. I overheard a dispute at customs at the Port Vila airport re whether the coffee could be taken on the flight .... And that is even before customs in Australia!!!

“Nice spot to take some time out over a local coffee”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This isn't the usual coffee shop scenario and is really just.a shed type scenario where coffee is sold. You can sit down and have a yummy coffee and cake. The special attraction is that Vila home grown coffee is sold here. I found it to be a tad strong but enjoyed it and even brought some home with me.

“Great Organic Coffe”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We had a visit here and caught up with Yasmin, she showed us through how the coffe is produced etc, we then had some coffe and bought some to take home. It is hard to find back here in Oz so best to buy while you are there. Well worth a visit and on the way to or back from seeing the underwater post office.

“Nothing to see but lovely location and coffee”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

This isn't a factory at all. It's a charming delapidated shack of a building near the sea, where they have a few coffee displays and will make you a nice cup of Tanna coffee. It's easy to get to from the city by bus or taxi and your driver will usually wait to take you back when you're done. The coffee is good and they make it well.

“Best coffee in the world”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

We asked our driver if he could take us somewhere with really good coffee and he drove us out to Tanna Coffee Plantation. They grow, harvest, roast, grind, package etc. their own coffee as well as serving it. It was fascinating seeing the green coffee beans and Phil took us out to see a coffee cherry tree as well. Inside we got to watch them roasting beans. There were massive 240L bins of medium beans and dark roasted beans etc. I really don't like coffee (not even a little bit in chocolate cake) so those that know me well will appreciate that it was a big thing for me to enjoy the local culture and order a mocha (with some sugar added). It was actually really smooth and something I could become accustomed to drinking if it were available. Tania drank two flat whites and thought she'd died and gone to heaven. She said it was the best coffee she's ever drunk and she's travelled extensively. She bought a bag of coffee to take home and we were thankful again we'd met Phil.
