Very friendly staff, stayed there for a week, very relaxing
Our 2 year old forgot her new shoes in a cab, the hotel offered to organise a pick up as the driver was unwilling to return back to the hotel. Resort is great for kids and families.

Special Thanks to James from activites for rescuing my wedding ring from the bottom of the pool..

The Resort was stunning - set in acres of beautiful tropical gardens at the edge of the lagoon. Our Lagoon View Room had an outlook over one of the two swimming pools and the lagoon - just magnificent. Comfortable, clean room - loved the "firm" and "soft" labelling of pillows! Buffet breakfast was included - the omelet bar was so good. Staff very friendly and obliging. So relaxing - and so looking forward to returning.

Room Tip: Lagoon View room - views are magnificent.

Good Afternoon jonard1

Thank you for your review.

Some of the brand standards that exist in all Holiday Inn Resorts are reflected here with the choice of soft and firm pillows just being one of those which makes the relaxing so much easier after a hard day of hammocks, catamarans, paddle boards and pools.

Look forward to welcoming you back to Vanuatu soon.

we arrived to a lovely greeting by the desk ladies, then got escorted to our room, which was right at the end ground floor.it was spacious and very clean.2 days later we were invited to a meet and greet by the manager and had a few drinks with other holiday makers,no other place we had been to has done this.by the thid day, almost all the staff knew our names and became very friendly with them.breakfast staff were awsome,a great start smiling faces and good food, cooked by chefs as you wait.we mostly lazed by the sea,and every now and then someone will check on us and see if we need anything.we highly recommend this place to anyone wanting serious R&R,bear in mind there will be children there. The manager made time for everyone and was very helpful at all times.we will definitely go again.

Room Tip: we only stayed in a double room, exellent room service, cleaned everyday.the staff were ever so friend...

Good Morning Lualuai V

Thank you for your review.

I hope you aren't too cold over there in beautiful Hawke's Bay! Its amazing how many friendships seem to start on resorts where the only thing in common people have is the fact they are on holidays and its not just the kids that form the friendships!

Hopefully we will see you back in Vanuatu in the near future.

I stayed at the same location 20 years ago when it was the Raddison and I was surprised how little had changed. While the rooms were refreshed, the same comments could be made. Expectations need to be lowered to avoid disappointment if comparing with top resorts in Australia or south east Asia. If it worries you that your orders are confused, service is slow, while clean not everything is fresh, then think about somewhere else, but you may not find in Vanuatu. For all that criticism, the reality is that we loved our stay at the Holiday Inn, were disappointed to leave and would probably stay there again. Our real disappointment was the kids club and nanny service. They appeared much better with older kids but not so with toddlers (3yo). The babysitting service was good. The resort benefits from a lovely setting on a lagoon, the staff are always very friendly. Breakfast was very good. The pool is lovely, albeit cold. The activities were great and I really enjoyed the kava tasting! Some great staff, including Jonathan, Axford, Sam, Denise and Selina.

We stayed in April with a large group. Kymberley and her staff were spectacular at listening to our needs and ensuring requests were met. We had a severe Coeliac travelling with us and the buffet was altered to include special foods and toaster just for her gluten free bread!
Several of us had birthdays during our stay and the staff brought out birthdays cakes and sung Happy Birthday in local language.
One comment we have lodged with the Hotel is the desperate need for ramps to allow for pram and wheelchair access- currently lots of stairs which made our regaular trip down to the pool very hard and we were constantly asking staff for assistance, which they were more thany happy to do but waiting for someone to walk over specifically to help us was a nuisance. Not pram or wheelchair friendly.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at holiday inn after spending 5 nights on Tanna Island. if I had my Choice again it would be for a lot longer. The staff are so helpful and friendly! They love to hear about our lives and we loved to hear about theirs. It's like staying with family, We absolutely loved every minute there. Another surprise while walking down the corridor being shown to our immaculate and comfortable room was an old friend of my husbands whom we haven't seen for about five years, they live in the next suburb from us. We were both in shock and arranged to meet at happy hour down by the pool 20minutes later! Then found out we were also in the room right next door! How's that for service? To all the staff that made our stay so memorable we thank you and we will definitely return! A yearly holiday there is definitely a must! Janene and Dave - australia

Stayed in May for 8 nights. Very picturesque resort. Main pool area so pretty next to the lagoon. Loved all the daily free experiences/ shows/ activities on offer from hermit crab racing to french wine tasting, fire dancing and underground cooking demonstration. Staff are shy and reserved initially but get to know you quite quickly and are friendly, always saying hello. Booking of tours was easy and fast. Rooms ok, beds very comfortable. Minor issues with room resolved quite quickly. Daily cocktails by the pool and the amazing breakfast so enjoyable. Great for families - kids loved the pool and staff were nurturing and kind with them. Kids eat for free service was fantastic - saved soo much money this way. Food overall was pleasant, cant say anything stood out as being fantastic though. Kids club a great service, allows some adult time, staff there fabulous. I had a lovely massage at the spa and my daughter loved her manicure. Would love to go back one day.

Room Tip: Lagoon and garden view rooms in a great location - close to everything
