“Wonderful for kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2011

We found the Holiday Inn fabulous. It was the beginning of December and the resort had hardly any guests which made our four night stay very relaxing.
The food was fantastic - especially the giant spread that is put on for breakfast.
It was close enough to town to catch a taxi in for dinner or to endulge in shopping or day diving trips.
Perfect for young family's, and couples alike.

Room Tip: Choose the Lagoon view room

We stayed at The Holiday Inn resort Vanuatu and can't say enough about the wonderful staff, excellent food, great rooms, facilities and location. We were there for 6 nights and didn't want to leave. The hotel has undergone refurbishments, so our room was brand new. We had a lagoon view room with a nice view of the pool and lagoon. The room was small but very comfortable and clean.
The breakfasts were fantastic. Buffet with all the usual cooked items, a chef to make omlettes, lots of fresh fruit, and pancakes that changed daily - mango, banana, blueberry - all yummy!
The staff are genuinely friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay a great one.
Make sure you do a tour to Crystal Blue turtle cove and Blue Lagoon. Amazing snorkeling and you can handle baby sea turtles and feed the big ones. Such a great experience.
Prices are pretty much the same as in Aust. 100 vatu = $1 AU. Getting around Port Vila is easy as buses (vans) cost about $2.50AU per person to go from the hotel into Vila. Taxis apparently are a lot dearer.
We really enjoyed our time in Vanuatu and the staff at the holiday inn resort had a lot to do with that. Can't wait to go back again. We will definitely stay at the holiday inn again.

My husband & I spent ten days here and it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had! The staff are friendly and very efficient and are always happy to see you. There are two pools ,,,one is great for the kids but we tendered to stay in the smaller more pivate pool which catered more for adults. Breakfast was very well catered for and they made the best omlettes. The rooms are a good size clean and have great views ( we stayed in a lagoon view room) The bathrooms were small but clean and the water pressure was great! ! We would recommend this resort to anyone especilly if you want lots of rest and relaxation and a divine view at breakfast every morning,,,,,,,Just devine,,,,,,Thanks Holiday Inn!

Room Tip: The Lagoon view rooms are a must!

This was our third time to this resort.Once again it cannot be faulted.Since the holiday inn management has taken over there has been a lot of improvements. The kids club is excellent,I had trouble getting my six year old away from there, the ladies are the best. All the people that work there are so friendly and helpfull, and they seem very happy to work there. This is the best resort in Vanuatu if you have kids.Lots of free activities for everyone, ran out of time to do them all.Its best to pay for everything as you go,if you charge things to your room it can get complicated. We were charged for room service that we never had, however in saying that, these charges were removed from our bill without any problems. We will be back, best place we have ever been, everyone ,save up and go!!you will love it.

Room Tip: All rooms have great views, some over great gardens, others over the lagoon

This is a very well run resort-type hotel, recently taken over from a former hotel chain by Holiday Inn. The new owners have done a nice renovation that respects the older building but brings it up to date in a breezy, comfortable style. The entry lobby is a very impressive wooden structure in the form of a giant longhouse. The hotel occupies a sprawling site on a gentle hill that leads down to a white sand beach and a salt water lagoon. The surrounding shores of the lagoon are completely undeveloped and lush with natural vegetation, so it feels as if you are completely removed from civilization, even though the small town and airport are only a short drive away. There are two swimming pools, one of them very large with an adjoining pool area for children.

Guest rooms have cool tiled floors, comfortable beds, and up to date bathrooms with terrific water pressure in the showers. The furniture looks like reproductions of whimsical 1960's style, but it works very well. Guest rooms are arranged in two wings leading off from the lobby at right angles, and there are also more expensive units extending partly over the water of the lagoon. If you stay in one of the main wings, I think it is well worth paying the extra for a lagoon view room. These rooms have floor to ceiling views of the lagoon, and a small balcony. Wired and wireless internet service is available in the rooms, with a good signal.

The restaurant offers a good selection of dishes with an emphasis on the local fish and beef. You can eat in the restaurant, the lobby, or at a bar near the swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is very good, with both Anglo and continental offerings, and the kitchen takes the trouble to vary the offerings a bit from one day to the next, which is a welcome touch.

Staff are very efficient and unfailingly courteous and cheerful. They go out of their way to be helpful to guests. There are lots of activities available and children are well catered for. I would recommend this as a very pleasant, well managed hotel, suitable for all including famlies with children.

I spent a week in Vanuatu with my family at the Holiday Inn Port Vila. We had a fantastic time relaxing by the pool and the lagoon. The resort facilities are excellent with plenty of acitivies to participate in. The staff were very friendly, happy and always on hand to help. The food was exceptional and it was nice to see a range of different cuisines. I would recommend this resort anyone. It was so tranquil and peaceful, it was lovely.

I spent 4 days in Vanuatu with one of my best friends at the Holiday Inn Port Villa. What can i say the hotel is amazing, from the moment you arrive it has that WOW factor! We stayed in a twin room with two double beds, the room was spacious enough for us to unpack both of our suitcases and move around the room without stepping over each other. The hotel has all the regular inclusions that you would expect a business centre, gym, restaurant and bar.
The staff were friendly and always on hand to assist us if we needed and for anyone travelling with kids the hotel is children friendly with a great kids centre for the little ones.

We spent most of our time in the cabanas by the water, sunbaking but you can also lounge around by the pool and with a bar just off to the side you don't have to go far for a drink or snack.

There were daily activities that guests could participate in, we did a cooking class and bakset weaving class but we also took up the opportunity to go out into the water in one of the canoes available.

All in all it was a great trip and next time i'm in Vanuatu i won't go past the Holiday Inn!!
