I wish to share the most wonderful experience had by myself and my fiancé during July 2012.
After spending hours reading trip advisor reviews, i came across a website that seemed to be different from the rest. After some quick correspondence between myself and the owner Sharon it was decided that we would be completing the open water diving course. This included one day of pool work, 2 or so hours of theory and 4 dives where you learn diving skills.
After being picked up by the other owner Liam, we knew straight away we had made a good choice. He made us feel comfortable and at ease immediately. The passion he and his wife have for diving is contagious, we had never scuba dived before and once meeting them we couldn't wait for the training to begin.
We arrived to began our pool work. Sharon made us her special coffee which is the best on the island. Then we sat under the gazebo to watch a diving dvd which we had to answer questions and talked them over with liam.Liam was patient and excellent at explaining things when we had trouble understanding.
Being a new diving operation everything is new. From the equipment, to the boat. The diving spots were unimaginable- something you need to see to believe.
After completing my certification I did a night dive. It was out of this world. Definitely the highlight.
Throughout the whole experience Sharon, Liam seemed to have this 'knack' to make anyone who arrives feel like old friends and not customers.
It was sad to say goodbye to Devils Point Dive. Three days earlier we would had never imagined what amazing people we were going to meet. I am actually in the process of booking a holiday in November specifically for diving.
Thank you Sharon, Liam and Devils Point Dive team.
