What a treasure is Devil's Point Dive! To find such a wonderful team of people on our door step during our stay in Vanuatu was an opportunity not to be missed. Anyone who doesn't enjoy, or learn to enjoy, diving hasn't had the pleasure of diving with Sharon, Liam and the team. They go out of their way to encourage even the most reluctant of new divers and offer a great range of diving options taylored to all levels (and ages) of diver. We had the time of our lives, enjoying new and reliable equipment and facilities (and the whole place is only in its embryonic stage, what's to come is even more exciting!) with a support team second to none. Keep up the good work guys, I'm concerned now that any other dive experience won't measure up, so don't get so busy you can't fit in two enthusiatic, returning Kiwis. A great vision and job well done! Thanks

I Stumbled upon Devil's point divers' site as I was checking the options for diving Port Vila.
From the first look it seemed like there is something different with these guys so after a quick correspondence we decided that this is where we will spend the single day we allocated to diving in Port Vila.
Upon arrival to the dive shop we were amazed by the facility, the owners Liam and Sharon English decided to do something different and took it all the way through!
The experience starts when you enter the dive shop, the Devil's point theme is all over the place as well as scuba recycled iron figures, scuba Playmobil and a scuba smurf!!! on the counter.
Next come the dive gear, integrated weights, air integrated computers and even special BCD's for women! pack it all and load it on the shiny new custom designed boat packing 140 horses and surround sound - but hey , wait a minute - aren't we here to dive? So let's talk about the dives, our super professional team were Nikki (Captain) and Madi (Dive master).
We had two amazing dives to one of the most beautiful reefs I have ever seen in my life!
It was so fun that we decided to cancel our plans for the following day and spend that day diving as well.
Another big bonus, in a place where it's nearly impossible to find a decent coffee (maybe Vanuatu's only disadvantage) Sharon makes a real Italian coffee!

To summarize it in one sentence: I've been diving for over 15 years and this is the finest facility with one of the best teams I have ever dove with!

- Attitude!
- Super professional team
- Big wow dive gear
- Brand new wide boat that moves fast and stable
- Accessibility to beautiful reefs other operators don't dive
- Sharon's coffee :-)
- Fun and funny dogs - 4 of them!!!
- Price

- A bit far from Port Vila's center - but Devil's Point divers will come to pick you up in their comfortable new vehicle

Beautiful dive sites, brand new gear, amazing people. That was my experience with Devil's Point Dive Shop. Liam and Sharon are super professional, super nice and super generous. They took care of every little detail concerning our experience with them, from picking us up from our hotel (and giving us a ride back) through helping me find the gear that fits me best, to offering me a towel when I was cold after the dive and sharing a gourmet lunch with us on the boat. After coming back from the dive we enjoyed Sharon's fantastic cofee while listing and looking at pictures of all the special and remarkable marine life we saw an hour ago. The instractors are very experienced and fun to dive with, the reef is beautiful, visibility is great, the gear is new and of the highest quality you may ask for, and most important: You immediately get the feeling that here are some people who really really love what they're doing, that love diving and love sharing it with other divers. The main reason for us to visit Vanuatu again would be this dive shop and these people that really feel like family for us.

It's feedback like this that turns our dreams into reality! We truly are passionate about the ocean, about diving, and about customer service, and for this to shine through on your dive trip suggests that we're doing it right!. We are tickled pink that not only did we exceed your expectations, but we made new friends as well!
Thanks for the terrific feedback and for making our day!

We have been coming to Mele Bay to dive pretty much every year since 2007 - it is just so convenient and easy to do. On this our 6th visit, we went with a new operation in the area. The diving experience suddenly jumped up a number of notches and was as good as, if not better than our previous trips to the Barrier Reef and Milne Bay in PNG.

Devil's Point Dive is not actually in Mele Bay, but a short way around Devil's point, but still within 20 minutes or so from Port Vila and the airport. We stayed at a self catering property close to the dive operation so could just walk in and out at our liesure. Some divers came from further afield, either driving themselves or being picked up and dropped off by the dive crew. There was the option of having dinner at the operation and as we were so close we decided to let ourselves be fed in an informal and friendly manner. The indoor / outdoor kitchen by the sea provided great meals and was a wonderful way to spend the early evenings and then we sat around the fire under the stars and talked of many things, of dives, of creatures deep, of cabbages and kings... Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very special in a personal and intimate way.

The dive side of things was a complete joy. The equipment is new, inline computer on every regulator, BCDs specifically for gents and ladies, all very well maintained between dives, a new boat, fast and very easy to get back into after a dive. All we needed to do was get ourselves on and off, all equipment was handled by the crew. This is a very friendly and competent team, they have worked together for a long time, there is decades of local dive experience. They have great eyes and know where interesting things hang out - little clanks on the tank call your attention to all manner of interesting things. There was never pressure to end a dive, and my log shows most dives were over an hour. Chris my partner gets uncomfortable sooner than me and she was coming back to the boat about 10 minutes before me; no problem, no fuss, quick dive buddy reassignment and everything was sweet.

Between dives there were drinks, sandwiches and fresh local fruit, pawpaw drizzled with lime is just delicious and I am not normally a pawpaw fan - there is something different about the local variety.

The water clarity and variety of sea life is terrific, there are fans, soft corals, caves, caverns, swim throughs, dazzling white sand beds, I have been home almost a week now and every night so far I have been back there in my dreams. I can't wait to go back again!!

Devils Point Dive showed us just how good the diving in Port Vila can be. Fast and uncrowded boat, awesome dive guides and great hospitality (with really tasty food). We loved the unique dive sites like Lucifers Lair and Pauls Rock - the fishlife was unbelievable. Loved being able to spend as much time as our air would allow enjoying ourselves.Highly recommended for divers, experienced or newbies.
