Description: Elan is a unique dining experience in Vanuatu. A restaurant purpose built by the owners to offer elegant island style dining. The restaurant is situated on the beach overlooking beautiful aqua waters and enjoys the best sunsets in Port Vila. Elans fresh and authentic menus are inspired by the classics - French, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean and the flavors' of the Pacific. We pride ourselves on sourcing as much of the freshest locally grown produce as possible, including we believe and our customers agree the best free range grass fed beef in the world. Elan was chosen to host the only Royal Dinner for HRH Princess Anne's visit to Vanuatu in October 2014. Open: 5pm Wednesday to Saturdays.

We love Elan. Have eaten there several times and always take guests there. Great food, Great staff, Great hosts and fabulous location. Last time i had forgotten to take cash and dont have a credit card. No worries. Just bring it in sometime. Really??? I was so worried and the owner was so kind. We have stopped trying other places and will use Elan as our preferred place all the time.

Lets face it. Vanuatu is a micro paradise, not where you'd expect to have the ultimate dining experience. Everything was perfect and would be enjoyable for everyone. Your hosts are personable and totally professional. So pleased.

This restaurant is a beautiful spot to watch the sunset down at the water's edge. The owner is a warm & articulate hostess. While the atmosphere & attitude are fine dining, there is a simplicity to the food. My favourite dish was the local poulet fish cooked with coconut & rice, wrapped in banana leaves. They've added a mango sauce as their Western concession, but it's predominantly a local dish you'll also see at the fruit & veg market. The chowder is unusual with a Keen's curry powder type edge, & the bouillabaisse a tad heavy on tomato for my liking. My plain eating mother in law enjoyed her open steak sandwich, so it would be a nice safe choice for conservative eaters.

Delicious food. We ate heaps! VERY hard to find this restaurant though! Not all cabbies will know where it is. But it's worth the trip. Beautiful setting too.
