The restaurant is situated on the beach overlooking beautiful aqua waters and enjoys the best sunsets in Port Vila. Elans fresh and authentic menus are inspired by the classics - French, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean and the flavors' of the Pacific. We pride ourselves on sourcing as much of the freshest locally grown produce as possible, including we believe and our customers agree the best free range grass fed beef in the world. “Elan the night away!”

Wow, what an amazing experience. The food was mind blowing! From the Chowder, Garlic prawns and beef curry- and of course the most amazing cheesecake we have ever had. This restaurant was an absolute delight. Wonderful ambience, exceptional service. We were served by a charming waitress and most gracious owner who ensured we had a means to return to our hotel. A must when in Port Villa.

“A Vanuatu Must!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Discovered Elan Restaurant at the end of my 2 week holiday, which was such a shame as I would have eaten there every night had I known earlier. Fabulous decor, wonderful ambiance, gorgeous view and the food, well the food is devine. The owner is a fantastic man who is happy to chat to you and answer any questions regarding Vanuatu.

I cant wait to go back!

“Don't miss that!”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

We loved this restaurant for the setting, the ambiance and the outstanding food so we went 2 night in a row.
The Crab Cakes have been our favorite entree, and the Lobster Stake was to die for!!! Also the "Elan Version of Seafood Paella" was delicious, however, I would have liked to know when I ordered that there is no actual rice involved in that dish. There was a choice of baguette or steamed rice, and I was wondering, why would I need to order rice to Paella. So I probably would have called it "Zarzuela" or "Bouillabaisse", this would have more described what you get. But anyhow, it was delicious and full of flavour! Try the French Rose wine! Very nice!

“Superb fine dining in stunning surroundings”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Beautiful setting on peaceful beachfront combined with top notch interior decor give it a colonial plantation feel. Definitely worth getting there at opening time or just past to watch the sunset (5.30 - 6).

Star dish was for me was Sicilian Pasta, which encompasses the restaurant's philosophy of deceptively simple, clean food with a twist - break open the poached eggs on top, mix with supplied parmesan and create your own natural carbonara without cream. Chilli in dish gives it a refreshing kick.

Returned several times - poulet fish in banana leaves was pretty much perfect, again with a spicy kick, served with rice and salad. Exceptionally friendly, happy staff, and owners will chat warmly and pass on island advice.

There are a lot of eateries around Vila relying on past reputation that have stopped delivering on quality, this is a place you need to discover for yourself and be blown away by.
