We honeymooned at this resort in September 2011 and it was FANTASTIC!!! Friendly staff, awesome food and fabulous room! We staye in the Beachside Villa with a private pool, it was immaculate when we arrived and the staff kept the high standard of cleanliness right throughout the week we were there.

No complaints at all!

We are planning to go back for our 1 year anniversary :)

We stayed in a beachfront bungalow for a week and found the resort to be very clean with friendly staff and in a location that was close to Port Villa with easy local transport to attractions. The al a'carte menu at the resort was excellent and the rooms spacious and very close to the beach. There is no air conditioning in the rooms however we found the fans and ventilation to be adequate during our visit in January.

We spent a week here from Jan 1 to 8 and loved it.
The beachfront fare was clean and comfortable and we love the fact there was no tv or radio, as we could spend the time getting to know each other again. The fares don't have windows, but the louvre shutters can be closed for privacy.
Yes there was noise from the local village, but that was part of the appeal, as we almost felt like part of the local community. Hotel staff were excellent, once we had adjusted to "island time", meaning nothing happens quickly, but it happens eventually.
Food and drinks were great, didnt have a bad meal. Breakfast was pretty basic, but the fruit was always fresh, and there was plenty of it to load up, ready for a day of doing very little or a lot.

Special mention to Alfred the concierge, knew his stuff well and always ready to go the extr amile, i look forward to shouting him another Cava on our next visit

Room Tip: Go the beachfront Fare, as long as you can sleep with the sound of the ocean

We stayed at breakas resort for a week over Xmas and new years 2011.
Service was absolutely wonderful, and all the staff went out of their way to make your stay here happy and comfortable. Rooms were cleaned daily and you were always greeted with smiling faces.
Traveling into town was very easy as buses are always available, I wouldnt recommend taking a taxi as they rip you off. When booking tours always book through the resort as the buses and taxis will tell you they are giving you cheap prices when there actually not.
In the room you definately have to sleep with the mosquito net over you as there are lots of bugs during the night.
Theres no air conditioner but you definately don't need it as the ocean breeze is enough.
Overall we had a wonderful trip especially because I got proposed to over there :) but I think a week there is enough as after you hav swam everyday and done all the tours there's not much left....
Perfect for couples who enjoy each others company and are wanting to just relax and unwind, there's no tv, phones or wi-fi in the rooms so if you don't get along you will drive each other insane!!! Lol

We arrived at the property quite late & on entering the property I realised I had landed in a tropical haven. The gardens are very well kept beautiful & bright flowers throughout.

Our 11pm arrival left us with no option for a snack at the resort as the restaurant/bar closes at 10.30pm.

We were greeted with a lei & juice before being transferred to our room.

Our room was lovely; spacious & comfortable for the 2 of us with a nice little patio out the front.

We stayed 7 nights here but there are a few things to consider:
*No tv or radio in rooms
*No phones so you can't call for room service you have to go to the restaurant & have them bring it to you
*The beach is nice but you can't just go swimming in the water you basically have to snorkel- which was a real downside for me as I don't enjoy swimming in the pool
*The bar is a lovely litte hang out but not very eventful
*The nightly activities are to eat dinner & watch a performance which I found a little boring after 7 nights; I would have preferred they got people in for some fun activities- even a little disco or somehting to liven the place up
*Staff were all lovely & the hotel manager was most helpful
*Breakfast was nice however they don't change it up- I would have like to see the menu alter a little
*Be prepared for the cost of food & drinks in Vanuatu; it's not Fiji thats for sure.
**Pre-book all of your tours with your travel agent as taxi drivers wait at the front desk in the morning & convince you to go with them for a cheaper price & in the end you pay more- rip off**

Overall we had a great stay; the location of the property is fantastic, 10 minutes by bus into town, right in front of a lovely local village, the beachfront is beautiful, great staff, lovely bures- the list could go on :)

Definitely a boutique resort! It doesn't allow children under 15 years, so not the place to go if you have kids, but a really great resort if you want to spoil yourself a bit.
The rooms are fantastic, very well tended and perfect in every detail. They aren't big, but there was more than enough space for the two of us. And I really loved the "almost-outside" shower and the semicircular bathroom. We had a garden bungalow and we quite enjoyed staying in the lush tropical garden.
The location is amazing, with a large coral beach, that is not so commonly found in Efate, the see is shallow over the reef, so keep track of the tides if you want a good swim or snorkeling. The common area with reception, cafe and restaurant is all around the swimming pool and right on the beach and there are plenty of comfy chairs, umbrellas and hammocks all around. In the evening the dinner tables are all set around the pool too, so if you want you can eat directly on the beach with only the stars above you.
And the food is really good.
We especially enjoyed the Melanesian feast even if we don't like much these touristic events: the food was really worth it, the price reasonable and the show not too cheeky.
Service is great, people are kind and helpful and the owner very friendly.
There is wifi internet, but isn't free and a bit pricey (there is room for improvement here!).
The resort is about 20 min from port vila, with a road that can be rough, but minibuses pass almost continuously and we didn't have any problem to go out and come back.
I definitely recommend this resort, the perfect place for a relaxing and great holiday!

Room Tip: you can't be disappointed by any of the rooms!
