It was a nice ride and our horses were good, our guide was very nice and knowledgable. Pity it was advertised as a rainforest ride as this place is most definitely a FARM not a rainforest. The ride in the water at the end was pretty fun. Good for a chilled out arvo activity.

I've been on trail rides in Bali, Australia and Scotland, and this one wasn't one of the best. We went on the sunset ride, which we didn't actually get to see as they took us to a place which, whilst it had nice views-there was a forest blocking the actual sunset?!? We had a break when we got there and I think we were forgotten about whilst the tour guides chatted-this was to be confirmed by the last 10 minutes of the ride being in complete darkness. Then when we got back they said the car was ready so we got in it, 10 minutes later after getting hammered by mosquitos and them locking up the building etc. they were then ready to take us home with all the staff in the car too, which is fine if you don't mind being packed in like sardines. The music was that loud in the car on the way home I'm glad there weren't any older people with us-which I'm sure wouldn't have effected the drivers volume choice. I also had hoped to swim with the horses which they said happens....another promise not delivered on.

We organised our 1 hour ride through our resort and were told to be at the pick up spot in Port Vila at 10. Were got there just in time but didnt know where to stand or what sort of transport was coming for us. Long story short, we hung around and 40 minutes later our local bus man came for us. We were worried that we would have missed our horse tour but the Club Hippique is so casual it is not funny. The girl gave us our helmets straight away, and held on to our things for us and Cliff took us to our horses. We thought we would be in a big group but it was just us, dont know if this is normal. We had never ridden before and Cliff was very good in his explanation of handling the horses. We took off up a hill and past a little shack with some pig pens. The pigs were squealing and the horses didnt want to go past so it was a bit difficult to make them. When we passed the car that was at the shack, the villagers were taking a fresh pigs head and entrails out of the back. So that might have been what spooked them. Anyway, we went then through some cleared land into a jungle part and then up to the lookout over the lagoon and was wonderful all the way. One hour was enough, it is uncomfortable to hold that position for that long but my backside wasnt at all sore after getting off. We didnt get teh option of getting off the horses next to a step or anything so it was more of a fall than anything else. We went back into the house and were asked if we would like to do the lagoon swim with the horses, so said sure. Cliff unsaddled the horses and we led them around the front to the lagoon and he hoisted us on and told us to go on out while he waited on the beach. Our horses went about up to their knees and didnt want to go no matter what we did. We finally after about 5 minutes got them in enough to get our legs wet but they were having none of it and Cliff told us to come back. Was still a great eperience to do bareback though.
They do sell a very limited selection of food and drink. Bathrooms arent a great standard but work fine. Dont expect a 1st world venue but the horses are fed and watered well. They also have local expats who use their facilities as well.

We had a group of six with a wide range of riding abilities. The three guides were fantastic and accommodated all of us. Definitely recommend this horse riding experience for everyone. All ages and ability.

If you want to see the most amazing secluded beach with no tourists or resorts then do the 3 hour trek, the trek stops there after 1.5 hours. Hard on the backside but well worth the effort
