We kayaked to Nambawan from Melcoffe this morning with the grandchildren. They love the place, especially the kids movie night, the pizzas and sherbets. We especially enjoyed the fruity smoothies and the relaxed atmosphere where we could hang out and watch people on foot or in the water.

The best pizza we had - and we tried Chill and Nambawan Brewery for their vegetarian pizza as well and these guys were much better than the other two places. We had pizza night where we went to all three places and ordered a small vegetarian pizza ( no cheese) so the challenge was on! These guys won and the kava colada was a well considered drink that hid the foul taste of kava very well. They run an outdoor cinema on Wednesday, Saturday and , Friday playing contemporary movies and old school classics. Atmosphere is nice open air million- dollar views. Nice place to watch the sunset. Only downside is on cruise ship days it's full of low- rent P & O types - best avoided on those days!
We will be back next time we are in Vila.

Today I had Fettuccine Carbonara with an egg yolk in the middle......delicious! Andrew had the chilli, pork and salami pizza, it was enough for 2 people but couldn't help him out as mine was more than enough. You won't go hungry here. Service was friendly and quick.

Was recommend to try the burgers at this cafe & they were pretty good. The pizza is pretty good too. The make a cocktail called Numbawan Cocktail & it is one of the best cocktails I have even had. You just have to have one of these. Great place to just chill & watch the world go by. Went here a couple times during our stay in Port Vila.

Frequent traveller to Vanuatu i almost go back just to go to Nambawan cafe.

If you are looking for great service and five star then you wont be coming to Vanuatu .... thats the beauty of Vanuatu.

Nambawan is essentially a thatched cover over chairs and tables and a kitchen and counter, right on the harbour. Its basic and just sensational for being basic. The food is great cafe food, burgers, pizza's, breakfast eggs, must try exciting salads, cocktails and mocktails, local beer.

Nambawan is Vanauatu .... its on 'Vanuatu time'. Could you sit anywhere else in the world with a view like this and have a coffee for $4 ..... not on your nellie.

The service is good (good enough) always smiley and friendly, lovely people in a lovely spot.

Most tourists find their way here at some point .... be the first and stake your claim. You will go back!
