We did both the Grand Efate tour and Melee cascades tour with evergreen, and found them to be the best operator in Vila - great communication, reasonably prices, and owned by Nu-Vans. Highly recommend their tours - particular thanks to Maurice who took us on the Grand Efate tour.

We booked a Cascade Falls tour back in NZ, and despite raining on the day we found the tour to be most enjoyable. The transfer to and from our hotel was prompt, and the staff friendly.

The local tour guide, Lulu, was most knowledgeable in the surrounding flora and fauna, pointing out plants that can be made into javelins, or giant snails hiding beneath leaves.

The walk to the waterfall can be a little taxing for some, but well worth it. The guide was most trigger-happy with our camera, taking lots of photos, pointing out where to stand etc., etc.,

In all, the tour was well worth the money - There are so many things that you could've missed if you went by yourself!

We did the round island 2in1 tour.
There was/is nothing the guides didnt know - they were friendly, informative & relaxed!
Comfy, good condition bus.
Happy to do a little divert on request which is rare to find.
Great company!!! Great tour!!!

We did the Pele Island day tour (May 27) and were quite pleased. This is a professional and well-run tour, with a staff of 4 well-trained ni-Vans accompanying the ~10 of us. Comfortable, leather-seated new bus (although they loved the a/c too much), great tour guides Lori and Roger (funny, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful), scenic island with nice beach and clear warm water, good snorkeling (saw big red snappers), excellent and hearty BBQ lunch, and very interesting and (seemingly) authentic village tour with fresh coconut tasting and drinking. We felt well taken care of, and they made the day easy and enjoyable. Only dowsides were they picked us up 1/2 hour late in the morning and there were some waiting around, particularly for lunch, much longer than we were told, but I guess that's island time. All in all, an enjoyable day.

We visited the Mele Cascades with Evergreen Tours and it was great. I think we paid about 3000vatu and I'm so glad we did the tour and didn't try and go ourselves cos the driver kept us occupied by pointing out & telling stories about different attractions we passed on the way. Then when we got there our tour guide took us up to the waterfall, turning off at a lookout point which we definitely would have missed had we gone by ourselves. The waterfalls were really neat and our tour guide pretty much held onto our camera the whole time just snapping pics of us in each pool, showed us where the good jump rocks were, where the slides were, the cave was etc etc. We got talking to our guide on the way down and apparently he walks up and down to these waterfalls about 4 times a day and they only get paid about 1000vatu each day . . . (my cocktail cost more than this!). So we gave him a tip at the end which he was really appreciative for so if you have any spare cash and think they do a good job, they won't say no.
