I really liked this place- if you don't want to spend much ($50-75NZD for two -three including transfers, breakfast, drop offs in town) this is the place to stay. Its close to the city ( a 10 minute walk- really near a supermarket). Admittedly its in a local neighbourhood- kids, roosters, bugs but that's why you come here isn't it? In my experience Pasi Lodge would be where I would stay long term in Vila- its very clean, has two rooms, private bathroom (only cold shower), water purifier, cooking facilities, great service, breakfast delivered daily, free transfers. Its newly built. Shouts value for money. We stayed somewhere later in our trip with the idea we were splurging- paid five times the price and many aspects were worse- although our living space was bigger. Unless you are staying in a large resort (Australian owned) you should go budget and support the locals at Pasi Lodge cos mid range ain't worth it. I was travelling with my 60 year old Dad and my younger sister and we all found it perfect.

We stayed here for one night before departing Vanuatu. It is a new and clean place owned by Ni-Vanuatu, and it was nice to support a local-run place. It is located in a local neighborhood in Numbatu area.

Liked:
- The owners and staff could not have been friendlier and more service oriented. They provided free transfers to airport and to town, and really wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
- Great price.
- New and clean.
- Kitchen facilities.
- Included continental breakfast.

Did not like:
- No couch.
- No wireless internet.
- No hot water (so cold showers).
- Big cockroach and many ants.
- Too firm mattress.
- In densely populated neighborhood, so noise may be an issue.
- View of oil tank storage facility.
- Small bathroom with small sink.

Overall, this could be a good budget option for some people, but I probably would not stay here longer.

Pasi Lodge is a small family run guesthouse, tucked away in a community setting. Matthew and Michelle certainly make you feel at home in their spotlessly clean units. Three of six units were completed when we stayed in Nov. 09. Each unit has 2 bedrooms (1 db, 1 s), kitchen, dining, bathroom and laundry tub with small clothesline. The cooking facilities are great for families and there is a large supermarket a few minutes walk away along Parry Rd. Bed and breakfast was 6000VT per night for a family of 4!! We couldn't believe how reasonable this was compared to other hotels.
