Spent a very relaxing afternoon here. Unlike some of the massage places back home, the staff here know that a good massage doesn't necessarily mean trying to turn you into a pretzel. Also, I went in for a foot-rub, and received a neck and shoulder massage in the deal. Definitely recommended.

My mum and I were visiting Port Vila for the second time this year; one of our main reasons for a return visit was to visit Margie, Sue and Jeanie at Lotus once again!
I had previously written a review on my first visit to Lotus in October 2012. I felt a urgency to write another after my December visit, to continue to 'spread the word' for such a worthy business.
From the moment we stepped onto the veranda we were welcomed with kisses and our very dear Sue and Margie came out to greet us. It was like returning; to my perspective of what 'Nirvana' may be likened to!
We had booked in for a Deluxe Pedicure escape, specifically selecting Valerie one of the senior therapists who has 'magic hands' and my mum would only have as her therapist. Unfortunately we could not share, so I was happily placed with Nora, whom did an equally beautiful treatment.
It is not only about the treatment menu of services available at Lotus; it is the people, the warmth, the sincerity and the overall ambiance that is so warm, settling, calming - a sense of 'Namaste' overwhelms your senses and you become reluctant to depart.
I noticed this so much more upon this second return. I was grateful for having made the effort to return again; even though this time we were staying at an out of town large resort which had it's own reputable day spa on premises. I was regretful I did not come back to Lotus for more than the one visit.
A significant asset which is again so worthy of mentioning; and that is the caliber of food served at the cafe run by Sue and a team of genuinely lovely Vanuatian women. Every small detail is perfection. The presentation, the aroma; and the sensory pleasure of taste of Sue's food is a gastrointestinal orgasm'! no exaggerations considered! We shared sweets and tea; these small delectable slices were exquisite; some of the simplest, yet tastiest food we had eaten whilst in Vanuatu. I would highly recommend visiting just to share Sue's tasting platter and indulge in a sweet indulgence afterwards. A simple pleasure so worthy of the walk up from town. Conversations with Margie are always so rich and every beauty treatment offered is worthy of exploration. We look forward to returning in early 2013.

Lots Day Spa and cafe is such a short walk from Port Vila town, its a must to visit even if you dont use their spa services. For respite from the humidity and the buzz of a wander through the town, a refreshing lime juice sitting in the delightful cafe or on the breezy verandah is most relaxing. My daughter and I loved the half hour massage in their air conditioned rooms, with music and aromatherapy of a well run spa service. I again returned on another day with my dad, just to sip their cooling lime juice slushy. Lovely!

My husband and I had a 2 hour treatment which included a body scrub, shower, and massage of our choice. Hubby chose hot rocks and I, a relaxing aromatherpay massage. Jinny (the spa manager) provides you with a very personal and detailed service. From choosing your own scrubs (mocha- made from tanna coffee beans or cocovanilla - made with freshly grated coconut) to choosing between 5 music channels. The ambience was perfect. Quiet, relaxing and very professional. Thank you also to my spa therapist Norah for such a wonderful spa experience!

From the moment you walk off the street and through the gates into the tropical gardens the Lotus Day Spa makes you feel as though you have left all daily stressors out on the street. It is the most relaxing, calming and peaceful place on Vanuatu. Margie and Ginny have the right formula making you feel extra special with friendly staff and most welcoming. Not forgetting Helena the lovely receptionist.
I had the best ever Hot Stone Massage with Alice and to date have not been able to have another massage like the one she gave me - it was pure bliss, my body felt free of aches and pains for days afterwards..
The lovely refreshing fruit platter and herbal tea after our treatments were the icing on the cake as we sat out on the verandha not wishing to leave.
My husband also had a full Body Massage and he says it was the best ever.
I went back a few days later for a Head Massage and that was equally as relaxing.
I bought a silver necklace and a braclet from their jewellery display. Evertime I wear the necklace I have received lots of lovely comments. Proud to say I purchased them from Lotus Day Spa.
I noticed people commenting on the price - all I can say is it is money well worth spending. I highly recommend this experience in the hands of the professionals.
I will return to Vanuatu and will definately be back for a special package.
