Very nice meal, had the beef wellington, faultless...it was delicious. Husband enjoyed his steak also. The setting on the lagoon is very pretty at night and it has pretty garden surrounds, very romantic.
We also had desserts only on another evening, which weren't very good at all, but I still rate the restaurant highly on the first meals.

Stayed at Vila Chaumieres for a week and ended up eating here most nights- we just couldnt go past their delicous food! Did not have one disappointing dish and tried at least half of menu between the two of us.
Great service, yummy cocktails, and beautiful surroundings. Prices are perhaps higher than average in Port Vila however you get what you pay for....

We were looking for somewhere to go for our last night in Vanuatu and had this restaurant recommended and then overheard a number of locals saying it was the place to go. We had no regrets at all.

It was fantastic! We went on a Saturday night and were there only people there. Sitting out on a pier like restaurant, we looked at the fish while eating dinner. A stunning setting and location.

The bread to start was delicious - we asked for a second each. We then shared the Seafood / Fisherman's platter (not stated in the menu it's for 2 but it sure is, if not 3!) - great decision.

The food arrived quickly, was hot, fresh and delicious - finger licking delicious. The cloth bibs were not quite the romantic touch we'd been thinking of but they certainly came in handy when getting into the crab or crayfish.

I was only sad I couldn't fit dessert!

The resort / restaurant is just out of Port Vila - about 10 mins in a local bus and catching a bus home after dinner, around 10pm ish was fine too.

We could hear music from one of the other resort's, maybe a nightclub - that just added to the fun for us.

On our first visit to Port Vila, we went to this restaurant upon someone's recommendation. The location was great and the setting over the lagoon was really interesting. At the time they had no NZ wine in stock, the Bourbon came with ginger ale instead of coke, and the food was appalling. 2 of us ordered the crab and it was disgusting. It had been frozen and was just a plate full of smashed up mush. It was an absolute rip-off. The owner couldn't have given a toss either when we complained. Then we read the visitors book at the entrance and wished we'd read it before we sat down, as some of the comments just highlighted our experience. There are far superior restaurants in Vanuatu and wouldn't bother with this one.

follow the lamp lit path to the candle lit tables overhanging the water. the light on the lagoon atracts the insects that atract the larger fish to jump and splash in the lagoon and a bit of bread roll keeps the fish in the smaller lit area attentive. charming ambience. we shared the seafood spagetti entree- good as it was not drowned in cream like some in vanuatu. i had the seafood boulibaise- rich, fishy, tomatoey, tasty and my partner had steak- no complaints from his side of the table. price wise about the equivalent of elsewhere in vanuatu and about the equivalent of what you would pay in Aust at the same sort of place.
