We ate several lunches here and they were always very good. The fruit punch and burgers hit the mark everytime.

“Its good...”
Reviewed November 19, 2010

We called in twice for lunch. The food is good, theres plenty of it. Lots & lots of variety on the menu & the prices are very reasonable for Port Vila. I love the fruit punch.

For Animal lovers, there is a book exchange & a donation box on the premises with proceeds going to local animal rescue-a needed & worthy cause & a good way to get rid of all those small coins that multiply in your purse!

“Just ok”
Reviewed June 4, 2010

Dont get a milk drink - sorry but the milk is YUK!!!
We also got a large fries to share - it would barely feed 1 person, i'd hate to see what a small serve was. But chips are chips & they tasted fine.

Staff were very friendly & smiling.
Good location.

“MEDIOCRE FOOD”
Reviewed March 23, 2010

We popped into Jills for lunch on March 20th 2010. We took other reviewers advise and had a chocolate/mint milk shake between us. It was terrific, but Jill needs to invest in larger straws, it was very hard to drink from such small straws. I tried the cheese chips, or what ever they are called, they weren't great, very soggy, I wouldn't have them again. Hubby had a burger, it would be nice if the buns were toasted, and spread with marg or butter. The bun was very dry. We do admire Jill for her book exchange, to help the animals of Vila. A great idea Jill, you are certainly doing your bit.

“Chilli Cheese Fries - to die for”
Reviewed January 7, 2010

Jill's cafe was great - chilli cheese fries - a heart attack in a basket, but worth every bite. I wouldn't make a regular visit here, but everynow and then, delicious. My partner had a big bacon hamburger, which he refused to share (!) and I had Jill's special chilli - we shared the fries. It took us ages to decide as the menu was extensive - tex-mex, mexican, typical american (hot dogs, burgers, fries) and a few other things. When I head back to Vanuatu, I'll be trying the stack of pancakes for sure! Staff were accommodating, premises clean, Jill was in the kitchen with the Mamas overseeing everything and Jill is genuinely American. The ambience is like a diner, so nothing fancy but I don't need fancy decor to eat a hot dog or fries. The servings here are seriously HUGE, we ate after a very physical dive in currents and still couldn't finish it all - so they gave us a doggy bag, which was great. Prices were very cheap, for Vanuatu, it was less than $35 total for 2 hungry people, including a few soft drinks.
