We went on the Pacific Sun through the South Pacific Islands last year. We stopped at Noumea, and did the yellow train tour - This tour is fantastic! We went to Lifou in the Loyalty islands. Not too fussed about Lifou, but it was nice to put my feet on dry land.
We absolutely LOVED Port Villa in Vanuatu. Vanuatu is a third world country. The main street was the only tar road I saw. It is not wheelchair or pram friendly.
There is a small shop there that sells knock off brand name products. It is located on the main street near the cafe deli.
In Port Villa, we went on the semi submersible boat ride. We have 2 children aged 6 and 8 and our whole family enjoyed this tour.
The cheapest duty free alcohol shop in the world is in Port Villa. Needless to say, that shop was doing a roaring trade!
Vanuatu, is a true paradise. We would love to go back there and spend a week or so there, to enjoy 'vanuatu time' :)
