Description: Little Italy Restaurant opened its door to the community of Tonga in 1996 in a beautiful traditional Tongan Fale(House). However, now with a 22 rooms hotel attached to the restaurant, walking distance from the original location. For over a decade, Little Italy Restaurant has prided itself as one of Tonga's finer restaurants, offers authentic Italian food with a variety of pizzas handmade and baked in the traditional Italian way. There are many different types of pastas available, which are cooked to perfection and complemented with a sauce of your choice. The Italian wine selection is the best you can get here in Tonga, in addition our Chef has chosen and created some specialties with beef fillet steak, lobster, fish and poultry. We try our best to accommodate any dietary requests or restrictions whenever possible. Restaurant is open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner. Sunday we are closed to the public, but open for dinner to all of our house guests exclusively. Come visit us today, whether for a a Birthday Party, Anniversary, Graduation or just a special event to get intimate with a few good friends or family. The combination of good food, an Italian selection of superb wines and a warm and inviting atmosphere means you can't possibly be anywhere else but at Little Italy Restaurant. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.

The service here was really good. I had the lobster spaghetti and my boyfriend had the seafood spaghetti. We also had a focaccia bread which the tomatoes were really fresh! The portions were quite big though!

From the cheesoe platter, to the Bleu Cheese Gnocchi, to the Tiramisu.....oh my, it was a taste of Italy in the middle of the Pacific! Literally, a 12" square plate of fresh sushi for about $12.00 USD. Great atmosphere, but don't be in a hurry for your food because you'll be disappointed if you don't give yourself more than an hour to enjoy talking with friends.

super Italian cuisine, had the Lobster & the Vongoli! Beautiful setting, wide selection of cocktails with tempting desserts as well. There was nothing to dislike!

Great hotel which includes a good restaurant. Seriously, try their Pizza! had a sashimi plate, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

Would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't see the reactions of Mr Italy as the highlight of their dining, but does appreciate a nice clean restaurant with a tasty cuisines.

On last day, flight to Vava'u left early, so Mr Italy and his helpful staff packed a breakfast for us. Thanks guys it was very thoughtful, all the best.

We booked into the hotel about 5 days ago. We have had breakfast every morning in the dining room and dinner twice. Tonight (Sunday 28/4/13) not much else is open - we dine in the restaurant at Little Italy. The owner (Mr Italy) presents us with the bill - says the wine we ordered (and have been drinking on other occasions) has finished and charges us the dearer price. Then says "have you been here before - breakfast is at etc etc etc" we then mention we have been here for five days. Seems to be a surprise to him. Food is generally good a little pricy - particularly the wine. However, overall we have enjoyed our stay here - just don't expect to be recognised - unless you speak Italian !
