The Breakwater cafe is an oasis in a hot and humid country. The food is delicious, the mochas are great and the owners and staff are the best. A special "thank you" to Zilla for making my stay in Honiara so much fun. We swapped ideas on healthy living and convinced her that Cayenne pepper would help her - and it did. Zilla also experimented with green smoothies made from the Coconut water base - and greens, of course! Not sure that they are being offered to other customers yet but we enjoyed them - thank you, Zilla. The waiting staff make you incredibly welcome and remember names. Thank you, Paul, Jerry, Jacey, Lindy for your care and attention - it really does make a positive difference to the whole experience. The ambience is comfortable and the decor appealing. Altogether, a great experience. Thank you, Zilla and family.

This café is situated right on the breakwater and serves the most delicious drinks and cakes. Try one of the spiders and it is absolutely full of ice cream and is really delicious. They also serve very fresh cakes at very reasonable prices. A great meeting place.

We went there daily for our first 3 days in Honiara - good food, friendly service, and the owner sat down with us and chatted about travelling around the Solomon Islands. Wonderful place!

Its a slice of expat life in the middle of Honiara - while a little pricey, it was comfortable, very clean, good food and great views over the yacht club. ANd they make great fruit smoothies!

The newest expat haunt in Honiara, the owners have spent some $$$ on this property. In safe and secure surroundings, over looking the 'breakwater' out to Iron Bottom Sound, this place serves up quality service with quality food. Maybe the portion sizes could be bigger, and you're not going to save any money eating here but this is good sanctuary to relax, meet people and eat nice food.
