The owners need to realise that most travellers do not want to see penned wild dolphins, caged birds, and other wild animals trapped in small, cramped and horrible conditions. Sickening to see. Free the animals and I will lift the boycott on this establishment.

I hate captive dolphins. Next time I am in Honiara I am going to snorkel up there and free them. Shame on you for keeping dolphins.

This place is a favourite among locals on Sundays where it turns into Honiara's version of a theme park. The dolphins are in a small area to the front of the cafe, and it's a weird feeling seeing them there (about 5 of them from memory, with a couple of pelicans for your viewing pleasure). We saw a couple of British people swimming with them for a fee of $300 SBD (I think). The TV may have been a nice touch before, but due to the glare from the sun you can't see it very well.

On one side of the property is a Kava Bar with cheap draft beer. The Kava is legitimate, but not sure if it's good or not as I have only had it once ever and it was here.

There are more animals caged behind the cafe, and there may have even been a crocodile in a very small bath/pond.
