We spend 5 days on Palau. First of all it is a very expensive island in general. Since we wanted a comfortable stay we booked PPR. The beach is really nice since alternative beaches are limited. The concierges were great, friendly and helpful. The rooms are outdated, a shower curtain and showering in the bath tub, should not be in these hotels. What was good is that your towels are renewed in the evening. The breakfast buffet is ok even though I would expect a fresh juice to be complimentary but a charge of USD 12 per glass applies which is ridiculous. We wanted to dive for some days but this was not possible in the diving facilities in the hotel, it was full. PPR could be more proactive in informing their customers on the limited capacity. Finally one thing that was really disappointing on the check out. Most flights leave Palau at night. Ours also so we wanted a late checkout, we needed to pay a full room rate of USD 440 which I felt was very customer unfriendly!!! Especially since our hotel in Yap did not charge at all!!! I think this is just misusing the circumstances, I am ok paying an amount but a full charge is robbery!
