“few things in Palau”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

It is worth seeing and gives much history of Micronesia as a whole and is quite interesting. Folks go around unsupervised and while we were there a young boy was busy destroying an artifact while his parents were present and aware. Unfortunately, several historical items to see in Palau are left to disintegrate with age rather than be preserved.

“Didn't tour, but the gift shop is worth a stop”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Besides the local jail gift shop for a large variety of storyboards, the museum has a great selection of gifts. From what we could see and did hear about the museum, definitely worth a visit if you have the time!

“Expensive Little Museum”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

If you are visiting and want an detailed look at Palauan history this is the place for you. If you are only slightly curious or want to be able to document your visit with photos, this is not the place for you. They do not allow photography in the museum and the price is 10$ per adult. I was also very put out by the rooster they had tied up out front with metal weights/decorative pieces attached to his waddles.

“Informative exhibits”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

The exhibits at the museum are informative and educational, yet lacking in someways with regard to traditional costumes. The information in the exhibits is extensive and will give you a good background in the history and culture of Palau. Do visit this museum but also visit the Etpison museum in Koror as well so that you have a complete overall view of Palau culture.

“Wrong PIcture”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Your picture is not of the Palau National Museum. It is of a private museum which does not have a large enough amount of items to make it very worthwhile. The actual National Museum contains a much larger exhibtion of historical items.
