My experience with Sea Passion is mixed...some things were great, some weren't so great.

Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. But they don't have room safes. Instead, they assign you a locker which is located behind the front desk. Anytime you want to put anything in or take anything out, you have to present your locker key and ask the desk clerk to retrieve/put back your items. If the clerk is busy, you might have to wait a while. And when the hotel is full, they run out of lockers.

The room was very large (we were in 411) and clean. Had a small balcony overlooking the boat dock and the bridge. TV, lights and air conditioning all worked well. The bathroom was well equipped and had a HUGE walk-in shower. The water temperature, however, was ridiculous. You either got cold water or boiling hot water. According to signs posted in the shower, they use solar to heat the water. But regulating the temperature was almost impossible. We finally got it reasonably warm without boiling off our skin, but it took quite a bit of time each shower to get it to that point. Others in our group (there were 24 of us) said that their water was ALL scalding hot...even if all they turned on was the cold water.

The beds were not particularly comfortable and I'd like to know whose brilliant idea it is to use a comforter/duvet instead of a sheet/blanket. It's a tropical location folks, you will ROAST under that duvet unless you turn your air conditioning ridiculously low. I know it saves them time changing sheets, but it's not a well thought out plan.

The restaurant food was just average and pretty pricey. I ordered a $14 chef's salad and it consisted of a pile of iceburg lettuce with a slice of lunchmeat salami and a slice of American cheese.

Although there are no smoking signs all over, people were smoking everywhere...in the restaurant, in the lobby, in the elevator, in the hallways...that was awful.

The towels are small and they're really protective of them. We gave up asking for an extra towel after about the third day of asking and not getting any.

Breakfast was included with the room and was really quite good. Had a large variety of foods and a made-to-order egg station.

They charge for internet service and it SUCKS. It is unbelievably slow (when it works at all). Just checking email took an hour every day. Think 1995 dial-up speeds and you might be close.

There's no fitness center, but there is a pool and a nice little sandy beach.

The housekeeper left our door unlocked one day after servicing our room and left the door OPEN another day. It's a bit disconcerting coming back to the room after a long day of diving to find the door open. Might not have been so bad if it hadn't been the first thing you saw when you got off the elevator.

Our dive group stayed there one night and a day, after a LONG flight from Los Angeles while waiting to go on the Palau Siren liveaboard. We also spent the day there upon our return. It's a very nice place with good service. The room was spacious with a large shower, balcony, fridge and flat screen. There was a spa (had a great massage) and the hotel is located in a nice cove with good snorkeling. There's a dive shop/water sports shop on the premises. The hotel wasn't close to much except a bar across the road and a five-star resort. We took a cab to town, but there's not much there. Buffet breakfast was included. Two complaints: The oceanfront bar on the water (the only bar) didn't open til 4:00 or 5:00. Also, the gift shop sold turtle shell jewelry...who still does that!!!

Stayed at the SP for two nights one week apart around a liveaboard scuba dive trip (Palau Siren). Stayed on 10/11 and 10/19, in rooms 505 (corner room, huge balcony), and 509 (same room, less windows, standard balcony). Basically these rooms are fairly decent, but not five star. They have good A/C systems but they have an odor to them most likely due to humidity / filter probably needs cleaning. Showers are huge, water pressure is hit and miss (505 = great, 509 = low). They have nice beds, no complaints, clean sheets, and you might have a little geckho lizard running around (2-3 inches long) if you're lucky. :-)

Overall they're a great value, the rooms are clean, but dated, and you'll need the A/C on full time due to Palau's heat. Breakfast buffet was decent, not elaborate, but tasty. WI-FI is dismal, don't buy it unless you like waiting. The bar is also just meh...doesn't open until 4 pm, and the beer selection is poor. Better to take a taxi to the WCTC market and get Asahi beers for $1.10 USD each than $4.40 each at the bar.

Long story short, good serviceable hotel, cute beach, dive shop/facilities nearby if needed.

Room Tip: Stay on the ocean side, the mountain side rooms have no view.

The Sea Passion is a great little Hotel. It has a wonderful little beach which is combed clean of leaves every day. The dock provides great access to various boat excursions for snorkeling or just to ferry you around the islands. I recommend renting the sea kayaks, which although a bit pricy at $30/hr will allow you to paddle through the channel towards Sams and then you can explore all the little coves on that side. Some of which could not be made to look better if they were a film set. The best room by far is 503, it is not only a large room but its best feature is a huge balcony that wraps around one side and entire end of the Hotel. Great views from here, as it's the top floor and also great for entertaining or just hanging out to watch the sunrise and sunsets.

The staff are really quite helpful, and English is not a problem. My only issue with the Hotel was that the Hotel Bar, which is located on a platform over the water, next to the beach, doesn't open until the end of the day. You can hang out there any time, but there is no service until about 4pm most days. One last item, internet service is available but terribly slow. You are better off going into town and using one of the many coffee shops where it is typically free and always faster, even though it is still not great.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 503

Ok hotel, lokated pretty close to the most things in Koror. Cleaning could be better but rooms was ok size. Good bed and ac. Lived in rom 210 ,1 floor on the corner Whit Windows in 2 walls. Main road outside can give a litle noisy but for us it was not a problem. Service all together was pretty good and i would not have any problems visiting this place again. Food for brekfast was siple but taste ok. Ok beach bar, slow Internett in the reseption and bar.

Room Tip: I will recomend sea viue.

I stayed here for 8 nights whilst diving with Sam's Tours (excellent service and the best diving I have ever done in 23 years of diving). Sea Passion is perfect for this.

Pro's: Very clean, quiet (including quiet air conditioning), huge breakfast, comfortable bed, polite staff, huge hot shower, overlooking beautiful lagoon (ask for an ocean room), snorkelling out front is good, small beach which is sheltered and calm, pick up at jetty for Sam's Tours which is around the corner. Walk to Kramers or Drop Off for excellent grilled fish.

Con's: Who cares about lack of wifi or old carpets! (they were clean). $5 taxi into town.

I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room.
