Let me first start by saying the best things about this hotel is the front desk staff and the Women's Wellness Centre. That's about it.

The Hotel is very dated and tired. Inconsistent housekeeping; by this I mean some days we were provided with teatowels/dishcloth and face flannels but most days we were not which resulted in visits back down to front desk to gather.
The bathrooms weren't amazing, desperately needing a complete overhaul. The water cylinder in our main room groaned and rattled very loudly everytime we used the washing machine.

The pool area is shaded completely and the pool itself is nothing special.
The gym area that the men can use is just ridiculous and almost pointless especially in comparison with the lovely area for women.

The resturant was ok, again nothing spectacular. We had lunch on one of the days but it arrived lukewarm so was sent back.
Location was great, very close to local eateries.

I used their dry-cleaning service with disastrous results but the front desk staff handled it brillantly and I was very grateful for that.
A word of caution though, do think twice about the laundry services.

Overall we were very, very disappointed with it and believe that it's not a good fit to be under the Hilton umbrella.
I wouldn't return to this Hotel because it is far to pricey for the very average experience.

Stayed in Tower B and had excellent views of islands from a spacious balcony.

Room size was good, although wooden floor and bed on rollers don't match.
Will make better use of the in-room kitchen next visit as eating in Noumea isn't cheap.

Gunter in reception is the standout and would be a reason to return, his friendliness and attitude are brilliant.

Hotel is really well located bus stop right next to hotel, and only 210XPF for a 20 minute ride to city, with some really great restaurants of many varieties all around it.
Don't miss out on the Mexican.

Dated and in need of refurbishment, however apartments are large and well equiped. Housekeeping was good. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. Gym and steam room not available to males. This was discriminatory and disappointing as we planned to go together. Massage was poor.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really spacious and had balconies with really nice views over Anse Vata. It was great to have a dishwasher seeing as we ate in somedays to balance off the high cost of food in New Caledonia. It also had a washing machine / dryer which was really convenient.

You get 250 MB of wifi free each day which isn’t a lot, but we didn’t end up using it as we had purchased NC Pocket Wifi from the airport which is unlimited as we had a rental car and used this in conjunction with Google maps to navigate.

The Hilton has free car parking which is secure and it is really close to lots of restaurants and shops and nice beaches. You can easily get to these through the walkway via the car park.

The Oxalis gym looked really modern but we didn’t use as it was limited to women and only during off peak hours.

Noise is the biggest problem at this accomodation. It is for this reason that I cannot recommend that anyone stays here. Unfortunately this complex is close enough to an open air night club that you can hear the base of the music vibrating until 3:30 AM 6 nights a week. Also one Wed night they had a band playing live music in their restaurant until 10PM, which made it impossible for our kids to get to sleep. The facilities are just not designed to allow activities like this to be integrated in a way that respects all their guests needs, this was a really inconsiderate thing to organise.

Additionally to add to the noise, the rooms are not well insulated. If you have heavy footed upstairs neighbours just having them walking around is really loud, like someone is banging on your door. You can also hear their washing machine when it was going.

Despite other reviews complaining about the cleaning not being up to scratch, we did not really experience this. Some days the room was cleaned really late in the day, such as 5PM. It would have been nicer to be able to come back to our room being finished after being out for the day. The only real problem was the day that the cleaner mopped the floors and also mopped the carpet in the bedroom which made it smell bad for quite a few days.

We were quite surprised that the room had its own hot water cylinder which was unusual in our experience, it was also pretty small and several times we ran out of hot water.

The swimming pool is very basic and in the shade all day, you do have access to the pool at a nearby sister hotel which is a lot sunnier and has more ambiance with palm trees etc. Unfortunately we were put off this place as someone had deficated in the pool one day and despite alerting staff to this twice they did nothing about it.

All in all we had a great holiday, but it was not due to the accomodation at the Hilton.
