This restaurant is lovely.
I wasn't expecting much, considering the places I'd been to so far in New Caledonia were lacking a little finesse & attention to detail. L'Hippocampe is the exception to the rule.
Loved the amuse-buche and dedication from the chef to constantly provide something to keep the interest of the diner.
Lobster and cauliflower creme was delicious. So much flavour & class.
Beef was nice, but the accompaniments were the winners on this dish (I'm an Australian - we're hard to impress when it comes to beef).
Service was great. Only fault I can give was that three people asked me if I wanted dessert. Not really something to complain about :-)
Loved it, loved it, loved it.
