Yes, the views are great but the food didn't match them. Surprised to see that some others had rated this restaurant as 5/5 because this wasn't our own experience.
We went on a Sunday night, and I was suspicious that the food had been reheated from the night before. My wife had duck, but to me it tasted like liver. My son had the kid's meal: chicken and chips, but what was supposed to be chicken came in smooth, reconstituted flat slices and could have been anything. Serving kids stuff like that says everything you need to know about a restaurant. I had salmon but the poor thing had obviously had a terrible time getting to Noumea.
The whole thing came to approx NZ$250 (2 adults, 2 kids, just main courses, no wine), and I think was the worst value meal we have had as a family. I know looking at the other reviews you'll assume I'm a picky kind of person, but actually I'll eat just about anything. I'm sorry but anyone who gives this place 5 stars must have spent their life in McDonalds.
The kids enjoyed the view and the novelty though. And our waitress was very friendly and efficient - I hope she gets a good chunk of all that cash we spent.
