After reading TA reviews we decided to visit and were not disappointed. Luckily we got in without a reservation although we were there at 7 before the rush. Ordered escargot to share as entree followed by confit of duck and cote de porc grile (pork chop) with the most wonderful sauce. Ordered house red (4 glasses in total) which was good and finished off with homemade tarte aux myrtilles a' lalscienne (blueberry tart)....wow what an ending to a great night. All up 10,400f, service was great the waitress Angelita was most helpful as we only had our French phrase book for translation.
Highly recommend as it was dining as a local as opposed to more tourist restaurants.

We visited this Bistro style restaurant TWICE on a recent holiday after reading a good review on TripAdvisor. On our first visit I enjoyed a fish tartare followed by a tuna steak with braised leeks and my husband enjoyed Foie Gras followed by Tête a Veau. The sliced baguette kept flowing as did the fairly priced wine from the good wine list. We enjoyed our meals so much that we returned on the last night of our holiday - vowing to have a final French experience. We ordered the same entree and main - escargots then confit of duck which we believe was the best confit of duck we have ever eaten. It was served with golden potatoes and baby brussel sprouts. For dessert I went with a traditional Alsacien blueberry tart and my husband enjoyed a chocolate fondant. The service was good. The chef came out at the end of the night to speak with each of the diners. Main meals were generally priced under $AUD25

Food - the food is tasty and authentically french. The menu is in french and limited English is spoken so take either your adventurous spirit or a phrase book. Many of the dishes are very large and the locals seemed to share dishes. It isn't clear that you can do that from the menu. Most tables of four seemed to order 2 appetizers and 2 main courses. The price of the main courses were about 2,400 xpf on average. Definitely save room for desert. Absolutely divine. Total bill for 2 persons including aperitif and wine, 2 main courses, 2 deserts circa 10,000 xpf.

Service - a little on the cool side but suspect this was also due to our limited French.

Atmosphere - felt very cute. dress warmly in case you are seated in the outdoors area.

Would come back several times on the basis of the desert alone - it was amazing. Am still dreaming of the chocolate fondant. yummo.

helpful tip: this restaurant is located in the suburbs. We waited over an hour for a taxi home on Sat night - suggest order the taxi before your desert? taxi from the anse vata area was approx 2,200 xpf each way.

Would happily eat here again.
