Airways is without doubt the best hotel in Moresby and is usually full. It is however astronomically priced and would be atrocious value anywhere else in the world. Apart from the excellent gym and pool and nice staff (common in PNG) the Bacchus Restaurant is excellent. You do pay Australian prices but the food and service is as good as it gets in PNG. My wife and son (a chef) and I had a very, very, good meal there for my birthday - K1000 with three courses and two bottles of wine.
