“Small and untidy”

This will once have been a lovely place to wander around. There is an impressive row upon row of tall palmtrees. But the small park is not kept up. There was rubbish on the gound, and the water in the small canals was stale. And some travel sites warn against strolling here, especially after dark.

An interesting áreas with lots of aged palm trees, but poorly preserved. There is channel that goes through the place, which does not smell good and is full of empty bottles and all sort of trash. It is a nice place, but it has its down side.

Nice to walk and see so many palmtrees. They are very tall and makes picture taking a challenge. But it can be done

Lots of beautiful trees, and not just palm trees. The park is well kept, clean and tidy, a nice place for a relaxing stroll in the shade.

The garden of palms, Palmentuin, was very quaint and scenic when I visited with some friends... We walked from the entrance on Wilhelminastraat and took our time walking through before exiting on Grote Combeweg. It was a nice walk, scenic and calming. There were spots to sit and relax and a playground for children. It could use a bit more of urban touches to revive the space but overall was a nice visit.
