It's a beautiful palm garden and nice to hang around it, if it weren't for all the strange people hanging around. I didn't feel too comfortable walking around there. Enjoyed the view of the garden while sitting in a cafe in front of it.

“A different kind of Central Park”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I get the feeling that it can be hard to know what to expect when you see the attraction titled "Palm Garden." Well, it's simply a large area right off the center of town with a ton of tall palm trees. The tall trees provide share, and the thin trunks don't block the wind, so you get a cool breeze all day. This was a great place to take a short break from the afternoon heat and relax in the shade.

The North Entrance is near Zus & Zo, whereas the south is a few blocks away from 't Vat, both backpacker hostels with cafes and free wifi that you can pop into before or afterwards.

“I don't get it”

Loads of palm trees near the fort. Sure it looks nice but why don't I just go to a tropical island instead? Water nicer and there's a beach there as well? Not sure why its an attraction - just different I guess...

Very sweet garden. It's, like you can travel back in time. Spent hours and didn't want to leave... My mother loved it too. She looked like a child, very sweet
