It's the busiest terrace around and one of the few with enough shade. Many people come here to have a drink. It is very touristic. Prices are ok. Qualtiy is also ok. The service can be slow if it is really busy. It gets crowded after 9 oclock. In off season it only gets crowded during the weekends.

Love the fish and chips, chicken sate and bami. Not such a fan of the hamburgers (too small and way over cooked). But, anything is better with peanut sauce!

Prices are great, especially compared to the hotel prices. Just don't go expecting excelent service. You will be much happier if you expect to go to the bar directly for anything.

Nice atmosphere for a relaxed early evening drink and a light meal.
The service can be very slow at times and I have left on numerous occasions after failing to get served within 20 minutes of waiting.

For a relaxed evening have a drink and some snacks at 't Vat. There soups are also very tasty. Try the Saoto Soup or the Cassave Soup. Traditional Suriname Beer is served in large bottles of 1 liter!!

Good price for quality, saoto soup and sate were good choices. Took a while to get our food, but the cold Djogo of Parbo and the beautifull Surinam people passing by made it a good place to eat and relax
