Went to the zoo, as wanted to see the giant anteater. I'm sure they do there best, with limited funding, but it was hard not to leave a little depressed. Some of the animals and there enclosures were miserable. Hopefully there are plans for improvement.

There are talks about animals being taken away and eaten? I don't believe that at all. Parbo is a nice pleasant city and the zoo seem to be well maintained.

There are more animals here than Guyana Zoo and they are in good conditions.

Loved the giant Ant Eaters.

The Paramaribo Zoo has been there for a long time and things have improved. The animal stays and the variety of animals has grown. It is a educational experience especially for children.

This is less a zoo than a playground. There's not too many animals left as they seem to die of old age and they can't get replacements. But the playground is nice enough for children and it's a lively place.

The zoo is almost empty... It's a frequently visited attraction for the hungry in Suriname. Only the panthers and cayman were still there
