Amazing that it is all wood. Reminds me of carvings in Bali

All signage was in Dutch with no English translation. Could never find the Cathedral open to view the interior except during mass.

Absolutely gorgeous cathedral inside and out. The only shame is that they've modernized it a little. Becuase they still use hold mass here they've installed modern speakers in the church. Other than those eye sores though, it's astounding craftsmanship.

This is the largest wooden cathedral in South America and is has been beautifully restored over the last years. Don't forget to climb the tower for a magnificent view of Paramaribo!
