This was probably my favorite place that we stayed during our three-month trip. Unfortunately, it came at the end of our trip, so we could only stay one night before moving on. The owners were incredibly friendly and great to be around. They invited us and the other hostel guests (maybe 8 of us total) to a potluck-style dinner on Christmas Eve. They were so friendly and genuine that it wasn't awkward at all (we're a bit introverted). Because one of their double/matrimonial rooms wasn't in use, they let us (without us asking) use that room rather than stay in a 4-person dorm, reasoning that they weren't losing anything because nobody had reserved it. It was really nice. Some rooms had fans, which seemed to work well despite reports that it was 40C out. Another dorm, and our room, had AC, which was phenomenal in the heat. They had also just put in an above ground pool, which was probably 1 meter deep with a 3 meter diameter - not huge - but certainly a great addition with the weather. The showers, though shared, were easily the best we had on the trip. The pressure was incredibly, and there was an endless supply of hot (but not too hot) water, functioning drains, and they were clean with clean curtains and everything. They were delightful. We were very sad to have to leave, and I spent the next few weeks wishing we could go back.
