In two hours of waiting, we saw only one manatee briefly. Other rare animals were happy to parade for us, (apart from the Aligators and reptiles who slept through our visit). The birds were stunning in their variety and colours, especially the parrots and macaws. Quenk,(wild pig) and agouti, (which are eaten as a delicacy in Trinidad, were quaintly scurrying aound in their pens. It was, all in all, a worthwhile visit.

Bit run down but this was a good afternoon with close up action with eagle, anacondas, monkeys porcupine, jaguars and more. Loads of staff and security around really laid back. Cheap to enter and I love it .. just staring at the anacondas as they smelt me out and the hoppy eagle as it fed was great..... this is inside the gardens which are nice too

Didn't spend much time as there was a wedding but did see statues of independence themes from British and burial site of first president. Sad that the place is not well maintained and clean and people dumped litter on their history.

it really needs a walkway to go into the vegetation so you don't have to just walk along the road. Great birds though getting closer to the trees would allow a better view
