“Very extensive seafood menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014

Before we get onto the food, this revolving restaurant at the top of World Trade Center offers a great view of downtown Bogota.
Menu is quite extensive with all types of crustacians and fish. I dined on two occasions, one time enjoying a Cazuela seafood stew and on another occasion pescado a la plancha, three types of fish nicely cooked atop innovative vegetables. Enjoyed good wine by the glass and friendly service. Price range for two courses and a couple of glasses of wine around $60. I recommend

“Was probably good when it was built.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2014

Let´s start with the booking. Be there at 2000 they said and if you are 10 minutes late you will lose your booking. This is up market and elegant they said so no training shoes, no jeans and no tee shirts. I can understand this and am happy to comply if they want to set a dress code and I have no problems with punctuality in a country that is habitually late. Good for them.
We arrived at 2000 on the nose and were told the table would be 20 minutes so black mark number 1. We were invited to wait at the bar, which is just like one of those very small and badly decorated waiting rooms or a poor executive lounge in an airport. All the more so for the absence of a barman and no drinks or any interaction with any staff for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile we watched two couples walk the stairs to the restaurant dressed in jeans. When we did get upstairs there was a client in shorts tee shirt and training shoes!!
We eventually got to our table at 2040 and in fairness the food was very good although my side dish of rice turned up as I put the last mouthful of my main course in my mouth. My companions did also enjoy their food. The waiting staff were best described as average and were clearly disconnected from the bar situation as I suspect they may have tried harder. The food is the only thing that saved this from 1 out of 5.
As for the spectacular views, they may have been before they built the Citi Bank tower, put the satellite dishes on the roof of the world trade centre along with the large wedding style tent on a lower roof. If you want a view go to Casa Brava, that´s a view.
All up for the CoP 450,000 I would go to any of the restaurants in Usaquén, Horacio Barbato, La Mar, 7-16 or the other way near the Zona Rosa La Brasserie or if you crave fish Central Cevicheria. Even La Fragata anywhere else in the city is good. They market themselves as higher end at the giratorio but failed to deliver on experience, attitude and service.

“Great seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

The best seafood plates.
My favorite is shrimps in Fragata style. It is served with three different kinds of shrimps, with coconut rice and plantain.
Also the restaurant turns, and lets you see a lot of Bogota's view.

“Nice restaurant for a special night out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

This is a seafood restaurant that sits atop Bogota's 'World Trade Center'. The restaurant actually revolves so that during your meal you will get a brilliant view of the entire city of Bogota.

The food is primarily seafood, but it does offer other meat and vegetarian options.

There are several Fragata's in Bogota so make sure you go to the one at the World Trade Center
