“A great experience”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

This is a simple concept full of great experiencia. The simplicity of a market with wonderful food. The mix of ingredients and flavors with the ambiance make of this place unique. I will have to come back to try their breakfast. I read is one of a kind

“Great ambiance and food”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We traveled to Bogota and took the July 2013 Conde Nast article "Colombia's Culinary Comeback" and thought we'd try this recommended restaurant. It's a very upscale, urban chic area of Bogota on a street with many great restaurants, a few blocks from a brilliant white church and the weekly art fair. It's an all women culinary team. The menu was in spanish only and the staff did not speak english but we felt welcomed and loved the ambiance-a cross between Provence and Tuscany's with the market feel, fireplace and seating. I had the shrimp in a milky coconut sauce which was delicious (they focus on the Caribbean seafood aspect of Colombia) and the tortilla soup was excellent. It was a nice late lunch and well worth the visit for the food, ambiance and to see this area of Bogota.

“Definetely worth a visit”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Taken by a friend who lives in Bogota. First to the Sunday market and afterwards a delicious lunch at Abasto. Hard to choose because everything looked so delicious. A lot of homemade sweet treats and fresh products for the meals. Well decorated, a good place to hang around for a long time. There's also a little shop for food and products. It can be crowded so it's possible you have to wait for a table. But it's worth it

“Best Breakfast in Bogotá”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Colonial style, step back in time and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Abasto has created an ambience that mixes old fashioned shop with relaxing coffee house, it makes you want to rest awhile and have another coffee, a pastry, a cooked breakfast. Ooops it's lunchtime already!!
