I went to La Brasserie recently with my fiance; we went for dinner on a Friday and we did not have a reservation, so naturally we had to go the restaurant's bar for some minutes before a table became available. The drinks selection at the bar was generous and the cocktails which we ordered were tasty, with the right level of alcohol (martinis tend to be over-alcoholized in many restaurants), and adequately sized (one Citron Martini and a Manhattan). The music was nice so that contributed to a good atmosphere, regardless of the movement and chatter that you would expect in a brasserie ambiance. Both of us had three courses (starter, mains, and dessert) and all were quite good; particularly the duck a l'orange, crab cakes, and rabbit. Portions are generous so you won't leave being hungry. The wine selection is varied and relatively decently priced (when you compare to other similar venues in Bogotá). All in all it was a very nice dining experience.
