Last december as as we started our trip through Colombia we have stayed 5 nights in the Abadia Colonial hotel and were very happy with the room, the staff and the location of the hotel, which has only be open for 13 months.

Paolo, the Italian owner is a very nice guy and he turnt a 200 year old ruine into a nice small hotel to a fair price (about 60 dollar, incl. good breakfast)

As it is a colonial hotel you will hear noise from people walking and talking as passing your room, so I would advice you to ask for a room more in the back as there are 2 courtyards and a lttle garden.

highly recommended!

My wife and I spent three nights at this absolutely lovely place, and enjoyed it immensely. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and a delight to deal with, as was the owner. It is truly a charming place to stay, and my wife and I will definitely go back again.

We spent three days in this carefully restored colonial house, with its
beautiful patios and tastefully minimalistic decoration. The rooms and bathrooms
are generously sized.

We really felt like at home... to which the hotel staff contributed a lot and
especially the owner himself.

We can warmly recommend this hotel to whom looks for authenticity in a city
where this is hard to find...
