Monserrate is a great place to visit if you want to be in contact with the nature, you can take the cable car to the top which is the most convenient or you can walk to the top if you have enough time.
There are a few restaurants in the top with amazing views of the city.

Try to go up by funicular and come down by cable car, two different experiences. Once there, do not miss the Via Crucis (stations of the Cross) sculptures, they are really beautiful. Do souvenir shopping, try some of the local beverages and eat typical pastries and empanadas.

Take funicular up and back. Great view of Bogota. Avoid religious holidays and weekends. May wait for ticket 15/20mins weekday or 1 hour plus in queue on weekend. Get an Uber or taxi here. Be careful with bags. Cafes, restaurants and souvenirs shops galore.

The trip to Mount Monserrate is a must for everyone visiting Bogotá. The view is awesome. Be there early in the morning to avoid long waiting queues.
