We visited La Fama during our recent stay in Bogota on a weeknight. It took our cab awhile to find it in ZonaG so if your a tourist make sure you have the address with you before heading out. We arrived around 8pm and easily got a table, by 8:30-9pm the place was packed, mainly with locals.
Meat meat meat = amazing! The waitstaff realised pretty quick our Spanish is poor and brought out an English speaking chef to help us out with the menu, super impressed by this thoughtful service. We ordered mostly from his recommendations-
Chichirones (Colombian pork belly) and smoked ham (first item on menu don't remember Spanish name) for starters, hamburguesa (mini), Mac n cheese, and pulled pork and fried chicken sandwiches. Food came out staggered, condiments on hand.
It was all delicious!! The chichirone was amazing, we would go back just for this dish.
Cocktails were excellent too. the atmosphere was relaxed, decor open warehouse, exposed brick etc, and the service excellent.
I'd definitely recommend La Fama for a great night out in Bogota.
note: we're not from the states so not BBQ experts but food delicious all the same!
