“a huge disappointment”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Having read the reviews on this place, I was tempted not to bother going. However, there were enough people that said this was a "can't miss" that we felt we should try it. The Chia location was closed the days we were in Bogota, so we tried the DC location. It was a huge disappointment. The only thing special about it was that it was decorated in a bizarre way. The music wasn't good (American covers) and nobody was dancing. The food was not even that good; while the arepas and yuca fries were great, the steak was overdone and my vegetable dish was inedible. Additionally, my husband's steak arrived a good 10 minutes after my dish.
There are much better restaurants in Bogota. Rafael, for one, was incredible!

“What an experience!”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

This place is not for the faint of heart. We weren't happy that although we arrived well before 8PM and were there to have dinner that we still had to pays $10 cover charge, but once inside--I understood why. The system should be better--like if you have dinner, the cover charge is removed, but there's a lot of "entertainment" going on, so I'm sure a lot of people don't actually eat. Our appetizers were tasty--dinner was ok--but clearly the drinks are what really makes this place stand out! Wow! The menu is overwhelming (as is the whole place) but it's worth checking out. I feel like the place belonged in NYC or London...very eccentric.

What a place - you have to experience it. Great food, loud latino music and dancing all night. Makes this a fantastic experience.

“Crazy place with fantastic food”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

Is this a restaurant...or a club? A circus? A bar? A scene for sure. Beautiful people, in funky surroundings, with dancing girls in glitter dresses, a disco/ clown "Juan Valdez" crowning and celebrating several of e hundreds of guests. Do not go for conversation with friends. Ths s a celebration of life me food...with alcoholic drinks served in bowls! The seafood, chicken, beef dishes of those in our group was gourmet quality...but ths is not like a gourmet restaurant. It's kinda crazy fun. Try to be in your 20's or 30's for maximum enjoyment.
