Bogotá is currently riding on the crest of a microbrewery wave but most of it is rubbish and badly kept. Britannia is the go to place for top drawer beer where they actually give a damn about perfection. I always go for the deliciously hoppy IPA.
As others have pointed out the fish and chips are great too. Super ambience and the only place that I know of in Bogotá that you can comfortably go to alone, belly up to the bar and make witty smalltalk with the barman. On that basis it is ideal for business travellers. I think the owner Alex is Colombian but he has successfully mastered the art of coming across as a reassuringly miserable Brit.
Go there, have a pint or three
