“Great location, safe & friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Very reasonable for Bogota prices, this hostel is friendly, 24/7 staffed, hot water & laundry.
Rooms are basic, breakfast is bread & coffee, big kitchen & fridge for self catering.
Location is good - close to bus stops & good for getting to Monserrat & the old town sites

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

Smaller hostel with nice ambience, lovely courtyard, hammocks in the foyer, good WiFi. Two minor weaknesses: No outlets around many of the beds to charge your device overnight while you sleep (you will need to use an outlet in a common area) and the entrance to the hostel is buzz-in only, which is ok but sometimes it can take the staff a moment or two to let you in, which can be a bit eerie if it's late at night. No keys for dorm rooms; you just enter and climb into your bed. Secure storage (with your own lock) available in the front office.

Very friendly owner and staff, has a basic small kitchen, TV, WiFi and computers for using. Is pretty new, so there are still some stuff to do. A small garden with a table for smokers.
For breakfast you get instant coffee and cornflakes. That could be improved, but its fast and easy. And if you go to the coffee zone in Colombia you get good coffee there.
Dorms 6 or 4 beds (bunk beds) have mostly no windows, but therfore are really quite. Some matresses are a bit soft, check it out.
Staff is really helpful, but sometimes forgets about their chores being too much on the phone and on FB.
TV is sometimes annoying, but it is a matter of taste.
All in all a good hostel with some more potential.

Great hostel in La Calenderia, Bogota. Very clean, welcoming and a nice small roof terras. Its great when you are looking for a hostel with a nice, tranquille environment. Hostel owner can join you to markets etc, depends on you if you want so....
