My wife and I travelled to Bogota in January and really did not know what to expect. Coming from the US and with limited Spanish skills, most of our friends thought we were kind of nuts for going to Bogota and touring around on our own. But we are adventurous and curious so nothing was going to stop us. When we arrived at the hotel from an airport taxi, we were surprised by how upscale the whole area around the hotel is - Zona T and the nice walk up to Parque 93. The area feels like Beverley Hills - beautiful people, trendy restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and hotels on virtually every block. We definitely did not expect an area like this in Bogota and it was certainly welcome after spending our days in other parts of the city to be able to go back to the hotel in the evening and be able to walk to dinner and bars at night worry free.
The staff was very helpful and most speak English. Included breakfasts were good. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Bogota is an amazing city and we can't wait to go back!
