I like the hotel, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and very clean.
I used a driver named Mao Salazar to get picked up from the airport.
Very punctual, friendly, and really knows the city.
I actually hired him, to drive us around for 2 whole days.
I highly recommend him, he can be reached at 312-4310980.
Be careful to check your bill on checkout, both times they added room insurance, which I had not requested, they immediately took the charge off.
The morning breakfast is very nice and is included with the price of the room.

The chef who makes breakfast omlette is very respectful.

Nice staff.

Awesome location! in a more lively Usaquen in the north. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants and a large shopping centre within simple walking distance.

I stayed here for 5 nights and it exceeded my expectations. Rooms were clean and the service was excellent. The free breakfast buffet was impressive---fresh variety of fruit, omelette station and the server was the best. I was not feeling well and she made me a special drink free of charge to alleviate my sore throat and was quite helpful. Also, the view is amazing for breakfast. Rooms are spacious and the only thing I'm annoyed is how this hotel did not get a 5 star rating when some crappy hotels in the same area did. Bravo to Dann Norte!

We stayed in the "Hotel Dann Norte Bogota", in Room 313, for 3 nights, early in December 2013. Our reservation was for a "Standard Double" room, with a Double Bed and a Sofa Bed; but our family was placed in room 313, a Triple, with 3 Double Beds. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Our room was immaculate and very nice. There are some prior comments here, about construction noise, but we were not aware of any construction, in or near the hotel. Our room overlooked Avenida 15 and I do not recall it being noisy enough to keep us from sleeping. Super location in North Bogota. There is a supermarket, open 24 hours a day, in the same block, on the same side of the street. One can walk there, in 2 minutes, from the hotel. We walked, to the Unicentro Shopping Center, in 10 or 15 minutes. A White car, based in the hotel, charged us $27000 Colombian Pesos, to take us to El Dorado airport. The Insurance charge is optional and that was deleted from our account, when we checked out of the hotel. 10/10 for us. My daughter and I would have liked more TV channels in English... The part about the Buffet Breakfasts that I liked the most was the variety of excellent fresh fruit available. We live in Colombia, so we had to pay the 16% IVA (VAT tax), but if you are in Colombia on a Tourist visa, you will not need to pay that tax.

Room Tip: I requested a quiet, non smoking room, away from elevators. I always try to remember to do that...

We stayed in the Dann Norte on three occasions over a two week period for a friends wedding near bogota. It's not in the centre of town, but in the more lively Usaquen in the north. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants and a large shopping centre within simple walking distance.
The hotel itself is clean and modern. We stayed in three different rooms of varying sizes, but even the smallest was large enough for two people with plenty of hanging space, a queen size bed, blackout blinds and a large wet room bathroom. If possible stay on the opposite side to the main road as it is busy pretty much 24 hours. Although there is some renovation taking place, we didn't hear any noise to disturb us. Free wifi throughout was really useful for finding out what was going on.
Staff were always helpful, putting up with our terrible Spanish and helping with all our requests. They even put us up at short notice for an unscheduled stop in bogota on the way home. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with a good mix of hot and cold, from local specialities to classic European style continental.
Overall we enjoyed our stays at the Dann Norte and unless you have to be in the very centre of bogota, it's recommended.

You'll find hammering noise all day long due to a remodeling process. And here they use heavy hammers to knock down any brick wall. The location, if you don't need to be in downtown is convenient to restaurants and shopping. In the room you won't find where to hang your cloths unless you want to hang short and small pieces.

I stayed there for 2 weeks with friends.

Good points: Breakfast was awesome (variety, lots of fruits, good service, local food), rooms were pretty and clean, service was fast (cleaning, laundry), there was a sauna and a steam room. Next to a 24/7 grocery store with banking facilities to exchange money. Close to Unicentro (big shopping centre) and restaurants. Residential area, one of the most secure area of Bogota.

Bad points: The keys to our rooms demagnetized 2 to 3 times a day, we had to go to the desk every time to fix that. Even with the windows closed we could hear the noise in the street which was hard to ignore. There was no iron in the room ! Laundry was super expensive. Breakfast ends at 9:00. You had to notice the desk if you want to use either the sauna or the steam room so that they start them (takes about 30 minutes).

Room Tip: Choose a room that doesn't face the street.
