This will be a regular stop for my stays in Bogota. This hotel is relatively up to date. It is located convenient to nice restaurants within an affordable cab ride. The service is respectable. The staff is friendly. There are not going to be many that are better for a better price.

I have been at Dann Carlton for almost a week. Staff is polite and helpful, some more than others (as usual). Location is good depending on where you want to go or visit. Room was clean every day, prices are fair (for a hotel), food was a surprise to me, hotel's restaurant is quite good as well as breakfast. Overall I recommend it.

Room Tip: Smoker's beware because this is a non smoking hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights and a friend of mine came and visited. He asked one of the guys at the entrance of the hotel the best way to get a taxi and was then asked if he was a guest. He of course said "no" and the employee waived him off and told him to just get one on the street. He couldn't find one very easily and ended up walking home instead (thankfully he lived in Chico, sort of nearby). Very disappointed by this lack of respect by hotel employees. Guest or not, they should be helpful.

The taxi from El Dorado airport, Bogota cost $20 and the journey took about 30 mins. Our room on the 7 th floor was very clean and comfortable with English Tv channels including CNN. The Buffett breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit, yogurt and eggs cooked anyway you wanted. Pleasant severs who spoke a little English. There are taxes to pay at check out and I don't suggest you change money at the hotel as they charge a lot of commission. The area is safe and buses into the City and Candelaria are frequent, easy to ride and very cheap. You can walk to El Centro Mall which has a good food court and nice shops.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the view is the mountains and it is very quiet.

very nice property and good location - Bogota is a very big city and if travels are taking you there for business then this place is as good as any. It is a bit away (short cab ride) from leisure centers and restaurants. The place is affordable and the staff is very friendly.

This property is not in a tourist area. It is easy to reach however and is ideal for business or conference trips.
The rooms are a bit small, but well kept, although housekeeping is just about average. I enjoyed the quality of bathroom amenities.
They have issues with slow elevators (or too many people trying to use them at the same time?)
Staff are well trained, polite and quick.
Breakfast is a bit dissappointing.
Conference rooms are small and feel crowded, maybe because of insufficient air conditioning.
If I go back to Bogota, I wouldn't go go to this hotel again.

The hotel is small and not in the best location for tourists or easily getting to see the nice parts of Bogota.

It's a little old fashioned and tired but everything was clean and decent and service was good.

The gym is tiny and for one person, the breakfast is a bit rubbish and restaurant is quite nice and cheap.

Unfortunately the location is not great for the uninitiated in Bogota and there is nothing except a dunkin donuts in immediate vicinity and I wouldnt want to be walking around at night exploring

Overall a very average European 3 star standard hotel
