We booked two multiple day trips through Destiono Bogota:
Maria the Naturalist (5 days in the Tayrona and Minca) and Catalina The Outdoorsy (6 day in the Coffee Region) (October/November 2016). Organisation was very professional. On both trips we had great guides. Their enthusiasm for Colombia, its nature and its people was palpable. We got to see amazing places, accommodations were at high level and local food was always delicious. We can defenitely recommend Destino Bogota....they showed us Colombia off the beaten track.

It was a pleasure being your hosts in Colombia. Best wishes, and hope having you back.

I cannot say enough good things about our tour with Alejandro.

He and the driver showed up at our hotel on time. The van was in fact large enough for six adults, four of whom are large, as well as a wheelchair. This is a bigger deal than it might sound because, during our 12-day vacation, we rode in so many vehicles with in adequate leg room, which caused leg and back pain for us oldsters.

When I saw Alejandro, my first thought was "How much can this kid know?" As it turns out, quite a lot. Alejandro is very knowledgeable about Colombia history, Bogota and the sites we visited. His English is superb.

The driver drove safely and effectively as he drove us around the City.

As we pulled away from the hotel and headed to our first destination, I thought Alejandro was going to direct his entire spiel to just one person, as she tends to ask so many questions so rapidly, it's nearly impossible for anyone else to ask their own question, ask a follow-on question or make a comment. However, within a few minutes, I noticed that Alejandro began making eye contact with each one of us; and making it a point to speak directly to each of us.

Alejandro paid for our entrance fees. His driver took car of parking, and was ready for us when we returned. We took the funicular halfway to Monserrat. From there, we had to walk up a very steep hill. My friend Kit had a wheelchair with her. Alejandro shared wheelchair duty with Kit's guest, taking turns pushing the wheelchair up to the top which is at over 10,000 feet in elevation.

Alejandro recommended coco tea to help with oxygen deprivation. He gladly posed for photos. He continued to provide insight into the area, pointing out places of interest from our perch high above the city.

We also went to the Gold Museo. Once again, the driver dropped us at the door and was there when we returned. Once again, Alejandro proved to be very well informed about the various items on exhibit.

We went to Bolivar Square; and then he stopped at a store and escorted my one friend to the store and helped her locate the items which interested her. The rest of us waited in the van with the very competent driver.

It was a five-hour tour and we were returned to the hotel five plus hours after we were picked up.

I don't have a single complaint -- which is saying a lot for me; LOL! I cannot recommend Destino Bogota enough, especially if Alejandro is your Tour Guide. This was definitely one of the highlights of our twelve-day trip to Cartagena, Medellin and Bogota.

We used this service for pick up/drop off from the airport to our hotel and back. Our driver Angelica, was fantastic. Very nice, safe driver and the company was very easy to work with, especially with a last minute change of plans. We would absolutely recommend using this service! Couldn't be happier!

I contacted destino bogota because we had relatively limited time between a domestic and an international flight through bogota and we wanted to try and see the salt cathedral plus have a short walk and some food/drink in Bogota. As such, I needed to organise a private tour from the airport to the salt cathedral with a return to Bogota city centre.

Destino bogota was very timely in their response, transparent with respect to pricing and clear as to what would/would not be included. I also appreciated the ability to pay via an easy online payment provider 100% upfront or pay a 20% deposit in advance and the remainder in cash to the driver.

Our driver was punctual, he spoke some English, he was extremely friendly and very helpful. A high level of professionalism in my view.

Our tour was just over 5hrs in duration due to traffic in Bogota.

We were picked up at the airport, we left our luggage in the left luggage place at El Dorado airport, we went to the cathedral and waited for the English tour. We skipped the video but added the miner's experience for COP6,000pp (30min add on that runs every 45mins). Great decision to do this because even though it was in Spanish, we could figure out majority of what was being said/asked of us and it was fun to be in the tunnels in the dark and try and dig for salt with the chisel, etc. Overall, we were in the cathedral for just over 2hrs. We got back in the car and were dropped off in the Candelaria area of Bogota.

Would highly recommend Destino Bogota and the trip to the salt cathedral.
